As he walked out of his room and prepared himself to apologize for being so harsh to his best friend, he was met with even more silence, and a Captain nowhere to be found.

"Phi?" he tried.

"Cap, where are you?" he sounded out again and was only met with more quiet.

This is strange.

He never left without telling him where he was going or who he was going with.

A sense of unease settled in his chest. He grabbed his phone and tried calling him.

Nothing. Straight to voicemail.

He sent a few texts and still nothing.

After half an hour of waiting, Captain still hadn't read his texts and now Tae really started to worry.

Where had he gone? What if something happened to him? Captain was really trusting and open with people. He wasn't naive, but it could be easy for someone to take advantage of him if he let his guard down.

I need to find him and apologize, what if he thinks I hate him? Shit. Where are you, you idiot, don't make me worry.

Several hours went by and Tae was still lying there waiting for any news of his whereabouts. He didn't even bother with dinner- his worry too dire to stomach anything.

He tried calling their mutual friends multiple times, but none of them knew anything about where he'd gone.

He didn't realize he fell asleep on the sofa, phone glued to his chest, waiting for Captain to show any signs of life- until the morning rays drifting through the curtains hit his sensitive, overworked eyes.

He looked around feeling disoriented and reluctantly started to mechanically do his morning routine.

It wasn't until after a much needed shower that he hovered over the kitchen, consumed with more unease than ever at the absence of his best friend.

He slowly made his way towards his room and was stunned to find his bed sheets untouched, like no one has been there since the day before.

Captain clearly didn't come home last night.

And that filled Tae with an overwhelming panic as he grabbed his phone and frantically called the man- leaving countless voice messages.

This was very unlike him, he'd never do this- disappear out of nowhere with no notice and never even come home for the night.

After a long time of pacing back and forth, he decided to try and message him one last time before he went out looking for him.

He should have done this before pointlessly panicking because as it turns out, Captain had sent him a message late last night- when he was passed out on the sofa.

He was also met with his own frantic texts from the night before.
