Hello and welcome to the book of alternative stories from my book A Traitor's Tale. I would definitely recommend having read that first, but it's technically not required, though you might get a bit confused by some of the recurring characters or plot lines.

Some of these answer what if questions such as:

What would have happened if Jacqueline followed Edmund to the witch's castle?

What if Judas had stayed in Narnia with his sister?

What if Jacqueline was stuck with her tail?

What if Jacqueline had stayed in Narnia with the children after PC?

Others are just various AUs, which include but are not limited to:

Arranged marriage trope, based on a song, sleeping beauty, Harry Potter, musicals, and Reign

The stories in this book are not connected to each other and each chapter can be read as a standalone story. There are also some different versions of the same prompt because I couldn't decide between them cause they were both so good.

If the versions stem from the same idea I may have them labeled as version 2 and version 2.5, but they are each their own story. Some might break off at a certain point which I will likely note in the .5 version—I'm sure you'll get a feel for it as you read on so hopefully this doesn't confuse anyone too much.

Since each story is technically a standalone (unless otherwise noted), that means they can be read in any order. The version numbers are merely the order I wrote the ideas so if you want you can read version 3, then version 1, then 4, then 2.

I am fully aware that there are inconsistencies between the stories here, both from story to story and in comparison to the original "canon" storyline (by canon I mean a traitor's tale and growing pains and maybe die with a smile—depending on when that one is published)

So just because something happens at a certain point in one story doesn't mean it will happen the same in the next. That includes shifting the timeline (and I know technically the children should be born at the same ages as in the original, but for the purpose of the various stories that might change—you'll see what I mean once you start reading some of them)

Also, sometimes side characters will have the same name as in a different story, but usually they will not be the same—like in one story Francis might be a friend, and in another he's a villain. Sometimes they may be similar because I liked a particular way I wrote them in one of the stories. Most of the time I was just reusing names.

Basically what I'm saying is take each chapter as its own unique story even if it follows the same characters.

I'm happy to clarify anything if you need it in the comments, but I hope it makes sense as you read.

To be completely honest, I wrote these mini stories for myself because I wasn't ready to be done with Jacqueline's story, and I'm sure many of them are not what people expect. I am still open to suggestions though and pretty much anything goes since this book is not canon.

Hopefully someone else will enjoy some of the things I've written, especially if there were things you thought should have gone differently than I originally wrote them.

As with all of my other work, I don't have a set publishing schedule so there will most definitely be quite a wait between chapters because I want to make sure each story is good enough for readers other than myself — the same will probably go for the cast chapter which I'll get up when I can — it'll be a while yet before the first story is ready to be up (sorry)

For now since this is currently the only chapter, I'd like to know what type of stories you are looking forward to reading—maybe it's something I already have written and maybe it's a new idea, both are welcome

Personally I like drama, so be prepared for a bit of that—don't worry, Jackie and Ed will end up together no matter what

Comment some suggestions for alternative stories!

A note on my writing style: if you've read my other works you'll probably notice that I use em dashes (—) a lot. I was (and still am) an English nerd so I try to write using proper grammar and punctuation (ignoring the fact that I am guilty of writing too many run-on sentences) as well as using more sophisticated sounding vocabulary—that does not mean that I am using AI to write my stories.

I am a human and I wrote this and my other works myself, though I did take some inspiration from other media I've read/seen
