Chapter 33

Omari's P.O.V
No this boy did not text me saying he was on his way. If he was on his way, I wouldn't be getting up out of my comfortable seating position on the couch. I'd let it ring and just watch my lifetime movies and BET.

This boy was crazy. He couldn't just move on. I mean we could have been really close friends, because I would have had a relationship of some sort with him, just not a boyfriend - girlfriend type one.

So there I was, just sitting wating for the door to ring. I was getting ready to do the most worst cold shoulder I've ever done to anyone.

I smiled as I kicked my feet up, made some more popcorn, I turned down the tv every so often to see if I could hear some footsteps increase in sound as they came near my door.

But nothing. I didn't hear anything like that. But what I did hear was a lot of talking outside.  Now I remembered that my dad was outside working on his car since it was leaking some weird fluid, and if Kevin even managed to step on foot on our property, he'd stop him dead in his tracks.  So I got up and looked outside.

Kevin was out there of course, and he and my dad were actually laughing about something.  Kevin had handed him some tools while he toyed with his car, and they weren't looking like they wanted to argue. My dad didn't even look like he was going to kill kevin. That's the most bizzare thing.

After that, I seen my mom come outside from the back, and she looked skeptical to see Kevin.

"Good," I thought as I smiled. "Maybe she'll tell Kevin to leave!"

But that didn't happen. Kevin smiled and gave my mom a hug and kissed her hand. She was very flattered and no impressed. Both my parents smiled at Kevin as he was speaking about something.  Apparently it was funny because I heard them laugh louder than usual.

That's it. I need to investigate now. I know what Kevin was trying to do, and frankly he should have done it when we first met. Now he's trying to get to my parents? This boy is way to late for all that. After he put his hands on me and hurt my feelings by going behind my back with like 2 other females.

I put on some sweatpants since I was only in underwear at the time, and I pulled my hair back into a cute ponytail and slipped on my flip flips.

"Uh hey Guys!  What's going on?"

They seemed to he having fun until I came and broke it up.

"Umm hey Omari how are you? " Kevin said as he smiled weakly.

"Well I was just walking outside and I seen the boy that ruined the last few months of my life."

He scratched his head and looked down.  My parents took this as a note to walk back inside, and left me facing kevin. He didn't want to get slapped again,  so he backed away from the edge of my property.
He even closed my silver gate, making sure that even if I tried to hit him, I had to jump over it to get to him.

Funny how he's scared of me now.

"So why are you here? Laughing with my parents,  in my presence, literally at my house when I told you to stay away and leave me alone."

He took in a deep sigh and rolled his eyes back.

"Because I want you back. Now I see all the wrong I did. You always had my back through thick and thin. And I'm really dumb to have dissed you."

I began to clap and jump around.

"Omg kevin!  You deserve a reward for realizing the obvious. Good job I wish I had a metal for you!!"

My sarcasm didn't seem to bother him.

"Well I'm glad you see now.  Since you were blind these past few days. But bye now. I'm going back inside. I wanna finish watching my movie."
