Part 9

Gamze: Hello, Kıvılcım hanım. There's an issue with the insurance for the exhibition. They need documents signed before 5 p.m., or the policy lapses.

Kıvılcım (speaking to herself): But the contracts were finalized.

She starts her car and leaves. After about 20 minutes, she arrives at Ünal Holding. Kıvılcım and Ömer has not seen or talked about what happened between them. She doesn't know how to face him as guilt still lingers with her. She takes a breath and steps out of her car.

Gamze sees Kıvılcım approaching her.

Gamze: Hoş geldin Kıvılcım hanım. Ömer bey is in his office. Let me take you.

They walk towards Ömer's office. As soon as the door opens, Kıvılcım hears laughter. It's Ömer and Mavi sitting behind his desk.

The moment Kıvılcım steps into the office, they look up. Mavi jumps from her fathers lap and starts screaming from excitement. As she runs towards Kıvılcım, Kıvılcım drops her things and bends down to Mavi. Mavi hugs her while Kıvılcım leaves kisses on her head.

Mavi: You didn't come yesterday.

Kıvılcım's eyes briefly flickers to Ömer.

Kıvılcım: I got caught up in work. I'm sorry. Are you mad at me?

Mavi laughs.

Mavi: No, I'm not mad. I missed you.

Kıvılcım hugs her again.

Kıvılcım: I missed you too. Tomorrow is Saturday. Do you have any plans? Why don't you come spend the day with me? (she looks at Ömer) If you father says it's okay.

Mavi gets out of Kıvılcım's grip and runs towards her father. She indicates for her father to bend down so she can whisper in his ear.

Mavi (whispering): Do I have any plans for tomorrow baba?

Ömer (whispering): Nope.

Mavi: Can I spend the day with Kıvılcım abla, please baba.

Ömer: Yes, you can.

And when they least expect it, Mavi let's out a scream frightening them both. Kıvılcım starts laughing and Ömer holds his ears closed.

Ömer: Mavi give us a warning next time.

Mavi kisses Ömer's cheek and turns to Kıvılcım.

Mavi: My baba says it's okay.

Kıvılcım smiles at her.

Ömer: Mavi, Kıvılcım abla and I have a bit of work to do. Can you stay with Gamze for a while.

Mavi nods her head and runs towards the door. She hugs Kıvılcım one last time before exiting and closing the door.

Kıvılcım jumped immediately into work.

Kıvılcım: I thought the contracts were finalized.

Ömer got up from behind his desk. His eyes start studying her.

Ömer: I was expecting your assistant.

Kıvılcım: disappointed?

Ömer: Surprised.

Kıvılcım gives Ömer a stern look.

Kıvılcım: Why?

Ömer: Because you're avoiding me.

Ömer holds the contract out to Kıvılcım.

Kıvılcım: I don't avoid. Avoiding is something you do, Ömer bey.
