It's annoying. It's so annoying. Nothing could 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 beat that level of annoyment. Nothing. Ever.
To say he was mad was an understatement. He was pissed. Like who the hell invited this kind of torture? And especially 𝘸𝘩𝘺?
Sonic took a deep breath.
'It's alright, everything is just. fine.' he thought to himself.
Soon he would be over with it and everything would be cool again. Yup. Juuuust a moment.
Aaand done! Sonic smiled satisfied, but then frowned while looking over at all of the sand he had gotten out of his boots and quills. Well, from the quills in the most part. He'll have to take more detailed care of them later, but for now it was enough. He was lucky, none of it got into his gloves.
He entered Tails' workshop. Yup, you guessed right - he didn't want to get the sand into his little brother's workshop. He'd prefer to not meet the devil today. Maybe next day - he'd have to think about it.
Right as he came in, he saw Tails sitting at the desk, just like he had left him.
He came up to him and tried to get himself in the fox's view to not scare him. The little kit turned to him and smiled. "Hi, Sonic!"
[𝘚𝘶𝘱? 𝘎𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘦𝘵?] He signed and leaned on the desk with one hand and crossed his legs.
The little genius frowned turning to his computer. "Not much. It's like the machine was programmed without an actual function put in it. It doesn't make sense, because if that 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 be true then you could just normally talk and I assume that you tried that already?"
Sonic nodded.
"And? Did it work?" He asked although his voice tone clearly said that he wasn't hoping for anything.
[𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘥𝘥𝘺. 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥.]
"Hm" He thought for a second. He was about to say something when-
"Don't say 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 near doctor"
They both screamed at the sudden voice. They turned to its source and notice a dark figure just casually leaning against the wall with crossed arms.
"Shadow?!" Tails yelled out. The dark hedgehog didn't seem to acknowledge that and just stared at Sonic. He felt shivers go down his spine.
Why did Shadow have to look so scary surrounded by- well... shadows. And did his eyes glow? Wait no. It was just a light. At least Sonic thought so. And what were the chances of him appearing almost right after his little.. actually what was it? A break down? He wouldn't call it that, but meh. Who cares?
Wait- the hero turned to Tails and pushed away from the desk to move his hand freely.
[Ask him what did he meant by not saying it to the Egghead.]
"I meant just that. The doctor might think that your weakness is more than just one word, don't make it easier for him" Shadow said, not giving the fox even a chance at asking.
Sonic felt his jaw drop. Some part of him felt like he could start jumping. Shadow understood him! Wait. Shadow understood him?
[You know sign language?!] His gesture were a bit messy and definitely faster than what they were like with Tails.
Luckily the agent also had super speed and understood that without a problem. Well, maybe messiness was a bit of a problem, but if it was then he didn't mention it.
