I was beyond bored.

"The anatomy of the human body is a comp-" I tuned out my teacher as I went back to doodling.

I heard someone snicker from behind me. As I turned around I saw Dannon Andrews a.k.a one of the schools popular kids. It wasn't like there were groups divided between us, it's just that there are like invisible boundaries between the students as I like to call it.

I turned back around as I started doodling again.

I small cry escaped my lips as I felt a sharp pain on my left abdominal side.

"Ms.Sparks? Are you alright?" The teacher asked . Apparently my 'small' was loud enough for the whole class to listen.

Ugggh.

"Erm...yes sir. I just have a stomach ache. I'll be fine." I said in my usual low voice.

"Okay but you may go to the infirmary if you want." He said.

"That won't be necessary sir." I said.

After that the pain was still there but it was a bit dull.

I started packing my stuff as the bell rang after a few minutes.

I got up as I started to remove imaginary dust from my white dress. After all it was almost Christmas.

I sat right back as a pair of warm hands pushed me back down on the chair .

"Oww!" I cried as the pain came back.

I looked up and saw a pair of striking green eyes stared down at me.

"Sorry!"He sheepishly said as he smiled.

"I'm not up for any pranks right now Daniel. Please let me go." I said.

"Okay. But I'm not playing a prank on you." He said as he scratched his neck "How do you say this?" He said to himself .

"Erm the thing is I think you're you know weak." He said nervously.

"What are you trying to say? Are you saying I can't protect myself from some jerk like you?" I stood up as raised my voice

which might've took him by surprise because his eyes widened.

"You might want to sit down you know." He said .

"Why do you keep on telling me to sit down?" I asked angrily as I stood up again.

"Because you're on your period you idiot." He roared.

Now that took me by surprise. I looked around and thankfully everyone was already out and going to the cafeteria to have

lunch.

I lifted my skirt to the side so I wasn't exposed but still I could see the back part of my dress and to my horror their was a red flower in the middle of my daisies. Oh my poor dress.I gasped.

"Do you need help now or not?" He asked as he crossed his hands over his chest.

"Yes please." I lowered my head and so did my voice.

"Hey! You don't need to be inferior just because you need help. And never lower your head." He said as his warm fingers

lifted my chin."Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

"Wasn't that said by Eleanor Roosevelt?" I said as a smile graced my lips.

"Damn it.How'd you know?" He said.

"She's my idol." I said.

"Okay! Now this is what we do. You walk infront of me and I'll like hug you awkwardly from behind till your locker. You do have a coat there don't you?" He asked.

"Yea I do."

And we did just that. I felt like all eyes were on me as we walked to my locker. Except this time I took his advice and walked with my head held high though there was a stain on my skirt.

After we got there I put my books in the locker and pulled out my coat and wore it all the while Dan stayed behind me like a gentleman without a word. Guess all of them aren't actually jerks.

"Thank you." I said once I was sure my coat covered the stain.

"No problem." He said and started walking away.

"Hey Nicky?" He said as he came back .

"Yea?"

"Do you wanna go for a coffee sometime this week?"He asked shyly.

"Erm okay."

"Perfect. See you later alligator."

And that's how it all started with a period.
