The sun came through Kate's window. It was dim and lifeless. The rain killed the sun. Kate's alarm rung waking her instantly.
She changed her pajamas into sky blue shorts. And a white sweatshirt with a cat on it. She brushed her hair and put two hair clips to keep it out her face. She put her boots on and grabbed her bag. Kate was always pretty. Always rich. Always... perfect.
She checked her phone for any messages. But she only found a missed call. From an unknown number.
"Weird..." She had got a bad feeling about the call.
"Mom I'm leaving to Lily's house!"
"Stop yelling i'm sleeping!"
Kate laughed and picked up a water and apple on her way out. She quietly closed the door. It was still early so mostly adults going to work, or getting daily coffee and maybe some exercise.
She went to the woods. It was quiet and shadows were about every where except for little slits of light. It was the fastest way to Lily's house. She went down steep stairs that lead out the woods and to the rather huge town Lily lived in. But Lily lived in a small house.
Lily was not perfect like Kate.
Kate walked to Lily's house and knocked on the door. The door shot open under a second. Being hyper was normal for Lily. "Hey crazy..." Kate said looking around.
"Come in!" Lily squealed.
Kate slightly smiled while shaking her head. Lily grabbed Kate's arm and pulled her to the room. "Okay so I have to tell you something."
"What?" Kate sounded a little worried.
"So.... I think we should become proxies..."
"Of....?"
"Slenderman genius." Lily said matter-of-factly.
"I'm not sure... We'll have to kill. Or let me just say... No way." Kate was always an unsure person.
Lily frowned. She got a sad look in her eyes.
"Pleaseeeee we'll go into the woods and look for the eight pages."
"Fine. But not till tonight we're gonna have a sleepover and then find the pages tonight." Kate gave Lily sharp look.
Lily nodded her head. She had a huge smile on her face. Kate called her mom and told her about the sleepover part.
"Okay so what if Slenderman wants to kills us?" Kate asked. She was trying to change Lily's mind.
"Not a problem, I have an ax for you and my big kitchen knife."
"Where the hell did u get an ax?!"
"My father used to..." Lily stopped in her sentence.
When she was little her life was horrible. It still is but she always hides it like she isn't hurt. And Kate is to stupid to notice.
Kate got silent. She started to think about Timothy again. "Okay then I know a place we can go, it's at the end of the woods."
Lily looked at Kate perfect green eyes. She didn't want go to the end of the woods. But she would for Kate.
It's always for Kate.
