Can: You two still fine? You didn't try to kill each other yet?
Ömer glanced at Kıvılcım.
Ömer: We still have one day to go, so it might just happen.
Kıvılcım gave him an unamused smile.
Kıvılcım: I'm going upstairs, Fatma are you coming?
Fatma: Yes canım. Let's go.
They both go upstairs and leave the guys behind. They walk to Kıvılcım's room and sit side by side on the couch.
Kıvılcım raises her eyebrows.
Fatma: Why are you looking at me like that?
Kıvılcım: Whats going on between you and Ömer's lawyer?
Fatma: What are you talking about?
Kıvılcım: Don't play dumb canım. How long have I known you? I see straight through you.
Fatma: Tamam. The guy is nice and his funny. He can keep a conversation going. He's smart and handsome. A woman can't be interested?
Kıvılcım: Of course it's okay to be interested. I'm telling you from a place of love, I know you. You fall easily and always end up getting hurt. I just don't want anyone to hurt you. Can seems like a nice guy but still, be careful.
Fatma: Don't worry, I'll be careful. You know I love you right?
Kıvılcım: And I love you.
Fatma: By the way, it seems you and Ömer bey is warming up too each other.
Kıvılcım: Are you starting again Fatma?
Fatma: I'm just saying what I'm seeing.
Kıvılcım: Do you want us rather to fight all the time? I mean he's not deliberately annoying me now and his calm. It could just be because Mavi is here.
Fatma: Really? What happened in his office a few days ago? Something that you noticed. It's clear that he's attracted to you and that's why he's not acting out right now.
Fatma's words hung in the air. Kıvılcım looked away, exhaling slowly. She knew her friend too well. Fatma rarely said things without reason. Still, the thought of Ömer being attracted to her, again stirred something unfamiliar in her chest.
Kıvılcım (quietly): I don’t know, Fatma. Maybe you’re reading too much into it.
Fatma: Maybe. But the way he looks at you? It’s not casual. It’s not indifferent.
Kıvılcım is starting to get uneasy.
Kıvılcım: Let's not talk about this any further.
Fatma places her hand on Kıvılcım's.
Fatma: It's okay to open your heart to someone Kıvılcım. If it's not Ömer, let it be someone else. Metehan is a working man now. You did your part as a mother and it's time to think about yourself now. It doesn't matter if it's not serious, but canım let those walls you've built around you come down for a bit. Let someone fill that empty room in your heart that I know you long for, to be filled.
Kıvılcım didn't respond to Fatma. The silence hung heavy in the room. Why did Fatma's words silence her? Was it because there was truth behind it? Was it because she fears of opening her heart when she's only let one person ever see what is beneath the surface?
Before the overthinking became too much, they heard little footsteps running towards them.
Mavi: Fatma abla, Cano is calling you downstairs. He wants to show you something.
