"No," Kairo said, pulling her into a hug, gripping her like the world was trying to take her. "You're one of us. And that means we get stronger together."
She nodded slowly against his chest. "I wanna learn. I wanna fight too."
He swallowed the fear clawing up his throat. She was still just a kid.
But the world didn't care.
And if it came for her... she needed to be ready.

Kairo stepped back from the weight rack, shirt clinging to his back with sweat. His arms shook slightly, veins bulging, breath short but controlled.
He'd been training.
Hard.
Level-ups made you stronger—but stats couldn't replace real discipline. Real control. Real resilience. And if something like the Void Stalker was out there, watching him, he needed every advantage.

Mina sat on the couch, sparks dancing across her fingertips as she practiced charging and discharging energy into a pair of metal training rings.
The place was filled with makeshift upgrades now—rune-inscribed paper for protection, reflex balls floating on mana fields, and a chalkboard covered in system notes and theory.
Mina beamed when she saw him return.
"I broke the circuit four times today! And the rings only caught on fire once."
Kairo grinned, breathless from his run.
"Proud of you, Sparkplug."
She frowned. "That's a terrible nickname."

The mission board buzzed as a new request was uploaded with red-tier priority.

Rena leaned over the terminal, reading it twice. Bran cracked his knuckles behind her.
"This might be it," Lumi said. "The tower's root."
Volt didn't speak.
She was staring at the energy signature pulsing behind the mission data.
It matched Kairo's mark.
Final Scene – Riftdream
The Void Stalker crouched over a swirling pool of memory. Images flickered like shattered glass:
Kairo training.
Mina sparking.
A broken tower screaming.
Its fingers scraped across the pool, and its voice slid across dimensions like smoke.
"Two marks now..."
"Two mouths to silence."
Its eyes opened, one by one.
And it began to move.
Suddenly a rift opened behind it and kairo stepped out from it
" you motherfucker, though i couldn't find you hiding in my own shadow huh ".

" Then they will fall!".
