The sky over Arcadia City was split in half.

On one side, peace—the polished skyline of glass towers, floating shuttles, and shimmering shields that protected civilians from monster raids. On the other, chaos—rifts in the air leaking violet energy, shadow-creatures crawling out like ants from a nest, and superheroes, villains, and hunters clashing in wild, midair battles.

It was a normal Tuesday.

Kairo stood on the rooftop of his crumbling apartment complex, wearing a patched-up hoodie, black jeans, and a cracked smartwatch. on his right arm a full arm sleeve lathe way to his right peak was covered by his System Mark., surrounded by ancient runes. A sign of destiny. A sign of power.

Most would kill to have one.

But to everyone else, he was just "that weak portal.guy ."

He adjusted his backpack and looked down at the alleyway where his sister, Mina, waited, clutching her school bag. She waved up at him with a bright smile, her middle school uniform slightly too big on her small frame.

"Come on, Ollie ! I'm gonna be late!" she called.

kairo grinned. "On it."

With a flick of his hand, the air in front of him split open like torn fabric, revealing a swirling black-and-blue void. He stepped through—and instantly appeared next to her on the ground.

"Portal's free today," he joked.

Mina stuck her tongue out. "That's the only thing about you that's 'high-tier.'"
They both laughed.

But the truth was—she wasn't wrong.

Kairo had no flashy attacks. No elemental blasts, no telekinesis, no monstrous transformations. Just teleportation, and the ability to stash things in his "Voidspace"—a personal pocket dimension that only worked on objects, not people.

And in this world of leveling, stats, guilds, and floor bosses, that made him nearly useless.

(The next day)

Kairo didn't like to take risks.

But today, he needed money his sister deserved better than what she's had .

Mina's school fees were late again, and the fridge had more air than food like always . So, when a dungeon gate opened in Sector 9 and no A or B-Ranks were nearby, Kairo slipped in—just to loot and sneak past the fighting.

At least, that was the plan. since it had just appeared the day before

The dungeon was an abandoned subway, dripping with monster slime and humming with magical energy. Goblin Scouts patrolled the halls. He blinked from shadow to shadow, quietly dropping traps and grabbing loot from old chests. and dead monster body's

Then he found it.

A glowing vial.

[You have obtained: EXP Boost Elixir (Legendary)]

His heart stopped. These potions were practically myths—rumored to multiply experience gained for a short time. Even B-Rankers would kill for one.

And then, the floor began to rumble. but he was to swallow by greed and with deeper

A massive roar shook the tunnels. A Level 60 floor boss—an armored chimera with lava breath—emerged from the darkness.

Kairo stared.

He could run.

He should run.

Instead, he opened his portal, pulled out every trap, bomb, and tool he had hoarded for years... and drank the potion.

The fight was chaos.

He dodged, blinked, warped across walls, lured the beast into his traps, sliced at its joints with scavenged blades, and used a collapsing pillar—stored years ago in his Voidspace—to crush the monster's spine. but nothing worked until the monsters claw swiftly came down and he thought to himself damn... i should have just went home.

he put up his hands in fear and closed his eyes the all he herd was a wet slicing sound, but it wasn't him who got hurt, he opened his eyes and he had opened a portal right in front of him self and the other end of the portal was at the back of the chimeras head... it was sliced open by its own attack

In the end, Kairo stood alone, gasping, shaking, scorched and bloody...

But victorious.

kairo sat there for a moment before collecting all that he could and leaving immediately before anyone could see him

Despite the power-up, the world didn't change for him.

People still saw him as E-Rank trash. Just a weak kid with a utility power.

So he went to a local guild to sell everything he had got form the dungeon
