Same, same but different!

Part 1

Fatma: You know Alas bey. He first wanted to have dinner and told me about his family tree. How his father taught him about art. He seems like a lonely old man in that big mansion alone.

Kıvılcım laughs.

Kıvılcım: Does it look like he will sell his art to us? You know he has antique pieces that could bring big business to Veritas.

Fatma: Yes, yes I know. He said he will come tomorrow to have a talk with me. He said you should be present.

Kıvılcım: okay, I'll let Esma call him and set a time.

Ömer's home:

It's just after 9 and Ömer has been struggling to get Mavi out of bed. Mavi gets fussy when she doesn't want to go to school. She has her baba wrap around her finger and knows that most of the time she can get away with anything. Mavi has pulled the blanket over her face.

Ömer: Mavi, Ayse abla has prepared all you favorites downstairs. There's pancakes, strawberries, orange juice and lots more. Come let's get out of bed.

Mavi: Baba I don't want to go school.

Ömer: but your friends will miss you kızım.

Mavi: My friends are boring baba. They want to play with dolls and cars but I want to play outside and look for worms.

Ömer: You really are a strange little girl babacım. Just like your mother.

Mavi pulls the blanket from her face.

Mavi: Was mom also a strange little girl.

Ömer laughs.

Mavi's mom died just after giving birth. Mavi was in her arms when she passed. The little girl never knew her personally but Ömer always talk about her. Because Mavi is such a curious little girl, Ömer never wanted to hide anything from her and ensured that she feels comfortable asking about her mom.

Ömer: Your mom loved being outside too. When it was raining she would run outside and play in the rain. She used to put little pieces of bread on her head, so birds could fly to her. She loved searching for different creatures. She also liked playing with snakes and worms.

Mavi: Just like me.

Mavi gets teary eyes and Ömer can see it.

Ömer: Yes, just like you. (Ömer kisses her on her cheek and hug her tightly. He lifts her up out of bed and takes her to the bathroom to brush her teeth and was her face) Let's make a bet.

Mavi: What bet baba.

Ömer: You will come with me to work today if you promise that you will go to school tomorrow.

Mavi jumps up and down.

Mavi: I promise.

Ömer: But you will like always be my little assistant.

Mavi: Can I work with Gamze again.

Gamze is Ömer's assistant.

Ömer: We will ask her but I'm sure she won't mind having a very cute little helper.

Mavi hugs her father.

Mavi: I love you so much babacım.

Ömer: I love you more my little bug.

Ömer and Mavi started getting dressed and went down for breakfast. After their breakfast, Ayse abla packed a little bag for Mavi and they left the house hand in hand.

A half an hour later Ömer arrived at work. When they stepped into Ünal Holding, everyone started to greet them. They would give Ömer a simple but respectful nod and high five Mavi. Mavi was very loved at Ünal Holding. Mavi runs up to Gamze.
