“Hey! You’re interested in her too!” Toby added
“Well I am! But only in a friendly way ‘cause I felt like I could be really good friends with her” Kristen defended
“Yeah, of course then later I’ll find out that you asked her out!”
“That was a one-time deal and she’s clearly more interested in me than you!”
And the siblings started their comical verbal debate
“Are they always like this?” Yuri asked Summer
“Pretty much, but it’s entertaining”
Yuri smirked, “Yeah, it kinda is”
And the attention again shifted to Yuri
“So can Toby have your number?” Kristen asked with a wide smile
“I can ask her that myself!” Toby interjected then turned to Yuri with a hopeful smile, “So, can I have your number?”
Summer watched in delight, as Yuri answered, “I’m sorry but I’m not really interested”
“Oh, do you have a boyfriend?” Toby asked
“No, I don’t” Yuri answered, “I’m a lesbian, so…”
Toby and Kristen stared with surprise, “really?!”
Yuri smiled and nodded
“But I have a really good gaydar and I didn’t sensed anything” Kristen spoke
“Maybe yours isn’t working properly but then again, Yuri’s like a chameleon” Summer interjected with a playful smirk
“So I got rejected?” Toby asked then sighed “Unlucky me”
“Sorry Toby” Yuri said sincerely
“It’s okay, we’ll just be good friends then” Toby smiled “just for the record, I think you’ll break a lot of hearts while you’re studying here”
“Yeah! You’re really good-looking” Kristen commented, “Even the girly girls in our class earlier think you’re pretty”
“She is pretty isn’t she?” Summer interjected, “I sense a lot of guys are waiting to date you”
“And maybe girls too” Toby added
“Yeah well, I’m not really dating right now” Yuri smiled slightly
And that’s how Yuri spent her day, reuniting with an old friend and making two new ones.
On the other hand, Tasha heard about the new girl being a center of attention as many guys and girls want to ask her out
“Maybe we should be-friend that girl, it’ll add even more attention to our already popular status” Tasha said to her own circle of friends
“We could but I’ve seen her and that girl is, you know, not our kind” Brenda commented, “She’ll totally be out of place with us”
“Definitely out” Amber added
“Well, we can just fake it” Tasha smirked, “we just need her to get guys, we really don’t need to be real with her, don’t we?”
“We really don’t need her Tasha” Amber replied, “We’re already pretty well-known, the three of us versus her? Already a win in my opinion”
“I agree with Amber” Brenda said “we’ll just be wasting our time with her, studying already does that, we don’t need another time-waster”
