Nathaniel thought hard. What was he going to draw for Marc on Valentine's day? A month has passed, and they were now officially dating (AT LAST!!!), and they promised each other a gift for the upcoming day. Ziggy floated up to him. "Just draw him a picture of flowers and hearts!" She suggested. "Won't that be too simple? He'll probably be there, looking all hot and cute when writing a poem for me while I'm just here, with a derpy picture!" He sighed.

His leg hasn't gotten any better, nor any worse. Just annoyingly stayed the same condition. Frustrated, he ripped up a scrapped idea of a stupid card. "Hey, hey, take it easy Nate! No need to be so aggressive!" Ziggy squeaked, a scrunched up paper ball flying, narrowly missing her, and the trash can. Nathaniel sighed. "Maybe simple is the best" He sat back up, and made a design Ziggy suggested. He "upgraded" it a bit, making it look a little more detailed. "There! Doesn't that look pretty? Marc will love it!" She went up to her holder, giving him a tiny hug. Nathaniel smiled, still looking a little bit disappointed.

Nathaniel had his card, hidden in his bag. While his father was okay with him being gay and all, his mother was still hesitant, but she still said okay (after being akumatized and all that). They both read the card before he left for school. "It's great! I think Marc will think this is amazing!" His father complimented. "I guess.. It's alright. Colours are nicely added, there aren't an overload of hearts.. Just enough.." His mother commented, then handed back the card to her son. This time, she was dropping Nathaniel off in her car since he has a broken leg and all. He was so nervous that he forgot to take off his seatbelt when he tried to get out of the car. Will Marc like it?

Nathaniel got to school. He waited patiently near the beautiful school pond. His hands trembled with both excitement and nervousness. When he was going to the pond, there was an excited buzzing in the school. He saw Marinette and Adrian together. Juleka and Rose. Would he just be alone-? "Hey Nate! I'm so sorry for making you wait! I haven't seen your text until like- Just now!" Marc waved, then hid his piece of neatly folded paper in his hoodie pocket. Nathaniel forgot how his heart can skip a beat, more than once. "Uh, no probs! I just.. Got here myself!" He nervously chuckled. Both stayed silent for a minute. "S-so.. A-are we ready to.. Exchange..?" Marc stammered.

At first, he slid out his folded piece of paper. It was adorably decorated. "I.. Was afraid it would be too simple.." He sighed, finally sitting beside his partner. Nathaniel took out his card too. "Same here. Whatever yours will sound, it can't make me love you less" He blushed, hoping what he just said didn't sound too cheesy. Marc smiled. "Me too" He simply said, as they passed their handcrafted little projects to each other. When Nathaniel read it, he felt like he was about to melt. It wasn't simple at all. It was well thought, well written, perfect. His writing style and handwriting especially. So Marc. Meanwhile, Marc smiled when he saw the little doodles in the card. Both were heart-warmed by each other's Valentine gift.

"How could you say this is simple? This should go in a storybook of masterpieces, or something!" Nathaniel spoke up first, his eyes gazing at his partner in awe. Marc blushed, then turned back around. "Y-yours too! Except it should go in an art gallery! It's so perfect Nath! Don't ever say your drawings are too simple!" He smiled proudly, shyly clutching Nathaniel's hand. Both just stared at each other for a moment, then it melted into a warm smile, before getting interrupted by Marinette stumbling at their feet. "GAH! Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry guys! Am I interrupting something?!" She gasped, clumsily getting back up. Behind her, Adrian laughed, walking towards her. The two were a well known couple, dating for way longer than the other two boys have.

Adrian helped Marinette up, his green eyes shimmering brilliantly in the sunlight. "No worries! It was getting a bit awkward anyway" Marc smiled, his face still a bit red from earlier. "Right. You'll do this more in the future anyway" Nathaniel chuckled, then realising his crutches went missing. He made sure to nod to his partner before letting his hand go, and searched for his missing equipment, while still making sure the poem Marc gave wasn't going to fall out.
