"Jenny jones" shouted the coach
"Here" she tried to yell back, but it is impossible to yell as loud as him. Trust me, I tried.
After he took role, we started working at our stations.
Jenny and I ran over to the volleyball net.
P.e was always my least favorite class, I was always made fun of for my slowness, but today nobody, not even Amy, even talked to me. They all knew about my parents' death. Or at least they thought they did. No one knew what caused it. They thought it was just a accident. I know what happened and it was my fault.
Jenny was spending the whole day trying to make me laugh and not think about it. She tried, but failed.
All of the sudden the volleyball hits me on the head and I fall.
After, p.e I ran to Mr. Simmons science class, hoping to get my mind off everything. The day was going by fast as me. I only had science left and then this day was over. He looked upset and told us to just work on our projects.
When the bell, finally rang, I stayed and asked him what was wrong.
He explained about his idea to use static electricity to power electrical appliances, and how everyone thought it was stupid and not going to work. He also said that even if it was possible, how would he do it?
I remembered something we had learned early in the year and then I had the perfect idea.
"What about using a static ball, like the one you used for the demonstration. If you had a big enough one, you could use it to contain the static and be able to use it to generate power." I said
He tapped his pencil against some papers and smiled and said " that's genius. Your idea is perfect. Thank you."
All of the sudden, a little girl with orange hair came running in. "Oh,Claire, this is my daughter, Suzy." He said.
I said hello to Suzy and waved good bye to mr.simmons, then left and ran home.
As soon as I got home, I went up stairs and grabbed my purple and green drawstring bag.
I quickly shoved in; a sketch pad, a pencil box filled with artist pencils and color pencils, my class photo ,and yearbook.
I then remember something. I had an aunt, who was a chemist. She died of lung cancer. All her old stuff was in a lock shed in the back yard. I sped out the back door and Broke the lock off easily. As I walk in, something catches my eye. A closer look revealed it as a black messenger bag. I opened it and saw blue prints, notebooks filled with sciencetific explanations and ideas, and pictures.
When I picked up a piece of paper, it gave me a deep cut. I could heal it, but something was different. I noticed a microscope on a desk with some glass slides, so I decided to look at it.
There was something strange about, it almost familiar, yet I couldn't lay my finger on it..
I grabbed the messenger bag and started studying a picture of my aunt. I was named after her, but we looked nothing alike. In fact I didn't really look like any one in my family. Weird. I looked down on my now permit outfit (turns out shape shifters can't change their physical appearance), i was wearing my worn out jeans and a light grey t-shirt. I shape shifted into my aunt and then back. I had a plan.
NEXT MORING
I walk to the spot were Jenny and I always meet, but she wasn't there. After, the bell rang, I went to her locker (which was next to mine) and felt my super senses go crazy. It made no sense, Jenny never missed school. She had the perfect attendance record for the school.
I opened my locker and a note fell out. My hands trembled as I picked it up. I held in my gasp as I read what it said
'"YOUR IT!
-m"
I already knew what it meant. They had Jenny.
NOT AGAIN!!!!!!!
