Me and my brother Alex were roaming the streets of Monaco, he was showing me all the new places they added since I left when mum and dad split up 12 years ago
"Is there an event going on?" I ask him wondering why there's so many people around "And why is everyone wearing red?" Everywhere I look everyone's wearing red with the number 16 on their back "Ya the Monaco Grand Prix is soon their all wearing red to support Charles leclerc" That make sense "Whats that?" I look at him confused and he chuckles "Its the formula one race, have you heard of it?" My mouth makes the shape O "Oh! Ya Sophie's obsessed with that, and some dude named Max ver- something" He nods like is was a normal thing here "Oh here's the ice cream shop" My face immediately lights up as I walk inside, It was very colourful and they had so many different options.
We found a little table outside near the water, I ended up getting the classic chocolate and Alex got mint chocolate... so basically toothpaste
"Do you like New Zealand?" Alex asks finally breaking the silence "Ya its good but small... dad has found a new girlfriend" he raises his eyebrows "Is she good?" I flatten my lips and shake my head "I think shes a gold digger" I eat some of the ice cream in front of me "Oh." is all he responds with and I just nod well looking out at the sea
"Monaco is still the same with all its yachts and boats" I chuckle.
Its been 2 hours since Alex and I left the ice cream store and have just been walking around "Any places you would like to go to?" He asks looking at me "Um." I think for a bit "Not really" his phone buzzes "Sorry I gotta take this" he walks a little bit away from me so I cant hear.
I look around from where I was so he didn't lose me. "hey Layla?" he calls for me and I turn to look at him "Yeah?" I say "Do you want to go to the Grand Prix with me and my friends tomorrow?" he asks and I try to remember what a Grand Prix is "Oh um, ya sure"
