The four of them lived happily together as a family... until one day, the middle child's condition suddenly worsened.

Small footsteps echoed through the mansion.
"Dad! Dad! Help!"

"What happened, son?" Alpha Trion jumped up from his chair, startled by his eldest son's shout.

"Toxy won't stop throwing up!"

Upon hearing this, the father and son immediately ran to Toxitron.

What they saw was Blacklaser standing nearby, clutching his arm in pain—his arm and torso covered in burns from acid. But worse still was Toxitron, collapsed on the floor, gasping for breath. The area around him was soaked in acid, which was corroding both the floor and his own body. The acid burns were severe—so severe they nearly revealed his internal components.

Alpha Trion nearly fainted at the sight. He almost screamed, but managed to gather his wits and quickly grabbed the phone to call the hospital.
"Don't worry, sir. We'll dispatch a team right away," the doctor's voice reassured him slightly.

An ambulance arrived as fast as possible and rushed the two to the hospital.

At the Hospital

Alpha Trion and Orion were waiting anxiously for the results.

The tall mech tried to stay calm—no easy task—but Orion looked even worse. He sat hunched over, trembling, knees clutched tightly in his hands, fingers digging in so hard they might leave marks.

Alpha Trion couldn't bear seeing his beloved son in such a state.
"Orion, my child... Don't worry. The doctors are helping your brothers right now. They'll get better soon, I promise."

His gentle voice and a light touch on the back helped calm the small mech down. Orion slowly lifted his tear-streaked face to the one person he trusted most.

"Really...? They'll be okay?" he asked, his voice trembling.

Alpha Trion nodded with a soft smile. "Of course, son."
Hearing that, Orion began to calm down.

Not long after, a tall medical mech exited the emergency room and approached them.

"They're stable now."

"Oh... thank Primus," Alpha Trion said, relieved.

But the doctor's expression turned grim.
"Um... Sir Alpha Trion, may I speak with you in private?"

"Of course," he replied, puzzled and worried.
"Orion, wait here, alright?" The young mech nodded softly.

Inside the consultation room, the doctor opened the patient report.

"Both of them are stable. Blacklaser should be able to return home soon. But the other child... he'll need to stay longer."

"How long?" Alpha Trion asked, deeply concerned.

"His body has sustained serious internal and external damage. We'll need to perform surgery and replace nearly all of his components. If you approve, we'll begin immediately."

Alpha Trion was stunned into silence by the severity of it.
"I approve. Please... save him," he said with a shaking voice.

She handed him the consent form. Without reading the fine print, he signed it immediately.
"We'll notify you once the surgery is complete." She returned to the operating room at once, to try and save Toxitron's life.

Outside the operating room – Several cycles passed

The clock ticked slowly on the wall.

Orion still sat curled on the couch, his eyes red from crying. Despite trying to be strong, the boy's heart was breaking.
