Enid: after a moment of walking beside her, still smiling but trying to tone it down a bit "Hey, I just realized... I never actually introduced myself. I mean, properly." she holds out a hand with a sheepish smile "Enid Sinclair. Certified tornado, hopeless scavenger hunter, and apparently your accidental nemesis for the day."
Wednesday: looks down at the offered hand like it might bite her, then slowly shakes it—briefly, carefully, like she’s never quite sure what to do with casual contact "Wednesday Addams. Professional scowler. Frequent misanthrope. Reluctant clue-hunter."
Enid: grins wider, clearly pleased she got a handshake at all "Nice to meet you… again."
Wednesday: lets go of her hand and brushes off her coat like nothing happened "I wouldn’t count this as a meeting. More like an unfortunate collision with minimal casualties."
Enid: laughing softly "Well, either way, I’m glad it happened." she hesitates a beat, then adds quickly, almost like she’s afraid to lose her nerve, "And hey, um—this might sound weird coming from a complete stranger, but… would you ever wanna hang out sometime? Like, not just during scavenger hunts or near-death encounters."
Wednesday: stops walking again, turning slowly to look at her "Hang out?"
Enid: nods, suddenly a little more serious but still hopeful "Yeah. Nothing huge. Coffee, a walk, maybe just… talk about things that aren’t school or clues. You seem interesting. And, I don’t know... I kinda like talking to you. Even when you're glaring at me."
Wednesday: studies her, unreadable for a moment. Then, with her usual deadpan calm, "You're very strange. You know that, right?"
Enid: without hesitation "Yup. Embracing it."
Wednesday: almost, almost smirks. "Most people avoid me. You're doing the exact opposite. It’s either brave… or foolish."
Enid: with a soft shrug and a warm grin "Maybe both. But I think you’re worth getting to know."
Wednesday: silent again for a beat, then gives the smallest of nods, like she’s giving in but refuses to make a big deal about it. "Fine. One... hangout. But no group selfies. And absolutely no talking about feelings."
Enid: her face lights up like she just got a personal invite to a secret cult meeting "Deal! And I promise, zero feelings talk. Unless you bring it up first. Then all bets are off."
Wednesday: turning to walk again, voice dry but not unkind "Highly unlikely."
Enid: falling into step beside her, a quiet smile on her lips "Still counts as a maybe."
Enid:"Anyways meet me on the Weathervane Café! Tomorrow at 3:00pm. I gotta go now and go back to my scavenger hunt!" She waves goodbye and runs off happily.
