I sit at home, watching TV, and eating mindlessly as I hear five knock on my door. I recognize the pattern as Lily's knock, and sigh.
"Come in, Lily." I call, irritation laced in my voice. The door swings and Lily walks in, her hands full of shopping bags.
"I got the best deal at that new store around the corner!" She exclaims, dropping all the bags at the door. "And, I got you a dress to wear on your date tonight!"
I pause my show and look around slowly. "What?"
"Your date! You know, with Logan? Surely I told you that over the phone..?"
"Uh, no, I think you forgot that little snippet of information." I snap.
"Well," she smirks, "he told me he likes you! He wants to go out with you. But I think you hurt his feelings, he seemed a little hurt when you left the break room. What did you do?"
"What did I do?! I told him off when he winked at me. I mean, he actually winked."
"Oh. Well, sorry. I know their are probably sensitive memories there-"
"Ya think?! That's the first thing Jayden did when we met. He did that all throughout our relationship, and then he did it to that whore he cheated with. So how in the world did you figure out there's sensitive memories?!"
Lily looks at the ground sadly, hurt from my sudden outburst.
"Lily.. I'm sorry, I know you're only trying to help, but I don't want to go on a date. With anyone. In fact is be satisfied if I could just be without a love life forever. I know you like matchmaking, but just, that's not for me. I might feel differently if I'd never met Jayden. But he completely ruined me. I can't trust anyone, I can never open up to anyone, all because I'm afraid they'll hurt me just like he did."
Lily nods. "I know. I know how much this is still hurting you. And I'm sorry for shoving guys at you, I just thought that maybe if you met somebody new, a good guy like Logan, maybe then you'd feel better. But I understand. I'll stop, I promise."
  "Thank you, Lily."
She nods again, pulling me into a hug. "Well, I guess I'll go then. I'll see you tomorrow at work tomorrow, okay, Sky?"
"Okay. Thanks for coming."
She smiles before picking up her bags and walking out the door, closing it behind her. I slump down on the couch, memories flooding my mind.

~FLASHBACK~
Looking down at the golf ball, I carefully draw my club back and swing forward, knocking the ball 150 feet away.
"Nice shot!" Jayden says. I blush.
"Thanks."
"No problem." He says, smiling and winking. I blush again and bite my lip, completely forgetting about golf. He smiles attractively. "Hey, do you wanna go out some time?"
My heart flutters. "Yeah. I'd love to."
"Great. I'll pick you up later, okay?"
"Okay.." I say shyly. He winks again and I fall even harder.
~END~

By now, tears are streaming down my face. I can't do this. He doesn't get to make me cry.
I walk into my kitchen and do what any girl would do. I grab a carton of Ben and Jerry cookie dough ice cream, put The Notebook in the DVD player, and snuggle up with my fuzzy blanket.
