Too Many Changes To Fast

As Gat slowly drifted back into consciousness, the first thing he could see was strobing lights through his eyelids. He couldn't make out the colors, but the muffled sounds of sirens and voices told him that they were probably blue and red.

"He's still alive!" A woman's voice bounced around in his head. He tried to open his eyes but was met with bright lights and blurry faces. He was cold. Why was he cold? Was it night already? Was that why the lights seemed so bright? "We're going to get you out of there. Just stay calm and stay with us!" The voice was nice. He smiled at the voice as he slipped back into the darkness.

The next thing Gat woke up to was a beeping sound. It was very loud and very close to him. He couldn't feel the cold anymore. And where was the seatbelt that he had been clipped into? Did he fall asleep in the car on the way home? Did his dad carry him to bed. Oh no, did he drop the last of his ice cream? Mom wasn't going to be happy if she had to clean the stain. He'll help her, she would like that since he made the mess.

He slowly opened his eyes and was confused at the sight in front of him. Why was he in a hospital room? What were all these machines he was attached to? Where was...? His eyes opened wide as he tried to sit up. He hissed in pain and had to lie back down quickly. Something was wrong, very wrong. The last thing he remembered was... wait... there had been... something... what had he remembered? Um... he was in the car... with his mom driving. They got ice cream. They were on the way home when... when... He started to cry.

Gat sat up quickly. He wasn't in a hospital bed. He was currently in the converted crib, in the Sub room, in his Dom's house. Gat paused and thought about that... HIS Dom. He was still getting used to the fact that he was a Sub, he really really wished he'd gotten Neutral.

He got to his feet slowly and rubbed his eye. It seemed a bit foggy, and he wondered if he'd been crying in his sleep. He knew it was something he did from time to time. Especially when he dreamed about his mother. He looked at the clock and saw that it was still too early for anyone else to be awake.

Gat didn't want to go back to sleep, and he didn't want to accidentally wake up Tim, so he got back in bed with a book and started to read.

Tim slowly rolled over and was just tempted to throw his blaring alarm onto the floor. It was also his phone, so he decided it was best to just turn it off. He wished that it were Saturday instead of Thursday. He really could use the sleep. His phone went off again and he groaned. This time it wasn't his alarm. The group chat was blowing up.

"This better be good..." He mumbled.

Tim sighed as he clicked on the link. He had no idea what he was going to find... but it sure wasn't this! He sat up quickly and read the news article.

5 am – Local Teen Arrested For Drunken Disruptive Behavior

Jeff Holt (age 16 Neutral) was arrested outside of the Quik Trip on the corner of Main Street and 8th Ave. The teen was heavily intoxicated and yelling at customers as they approached the store. The owner called the police as Mr. Holt's actions escalated to violence. By the time the police arrived on the scene, the teen had gotten a hold of glass bottles and was breaking them in the streets and on the side of the establishment. The teen was disarmed, and no one was hurt during the incident.

Upon his arrest, the teen blew a .10 on the breathalyzer. It's unclear how he got access to that much alcohol or where the teen had been before showing up drunk to that location. His parents have given no comments, and the police will not comment as this is an ongoing investigation involving a minor.
