Kai POV

We all watched as the crowd of people disappeared down the mountain. I'm glad they all came. It's good to know my little sister was loved by so many people.

Weird, using the word 'was'.

I still couldn't believe she was gone. She was the brain cell of our team. But more importantly, she was my sister. And I would never see her again.

I didn't know I was crying, but now I didn't care.
Why did she have to go?!
Wasn't there any other way she could have defeated Wojira??
WHY did she always have to put others before herself?

Good thing Kalmaar was already dead.
If he wasn't, I'd hunt down that slimeball and kill him myself.
Nya always called him Calamari.
Ha, he's be Calamari, alright. Very crispy calamari.

I looked up and saw my parents.

"Mom. Dad."

We all looked at each other for a moment. Then I hugged them tighter than I thought possible.
"I miss her, mom!"
I sounded like a five-year-old kid, but I didn't care. My baby sister was gone. And there was nothing I could do to change it.

I knew Cole, Zane, and Lloyd were devastated.
But no one loved Nya as much as I did. Wait. Oh no.
Jay.
Man, oh man, that dummy must be broken.
As much of an idiot as Jay is, Nya loved him, and who am I to question her taste in men?
Well, juveniles.
As Jay acted sometimes.

Jay would give everything for her.
He almost died for her during Wojira's attack on Ninjago City.
I had watched him the day Nya left. He looked hopeless, crushed, and heartbroken.
I had to talk to the poor guy.

I pulled away from my parents and sloppily wiped my tears away. "Have you seen Jay?" I asked them.

They hadn't.

I asked Cole and Lloyd, but they didn't know either.

Zane said he saw him charge off in his Storm Glider towards the harbor.

The harbor. Of course!

I jumped on my bike and rode off.
I'm coming for you, Mouth of Lightning.

Jay POV

The world flew by in a blur of color as I whizzed through the sky. As everyone had been leaving, I snuck away so I could go to the harbor.

I tightened my grip on the steering wheel as the deep gray ocean came into view. I was here.
Stepping out of the glider, I was immediately smacked in the face with the smell of ocean breeze.

I ran as fast as I could to the dock.

When I reached it, I sat down, buried my face in my hands, and cried.

Sobs shook my body as I let out the feelings I could never express in public.
Not even around the guys.

My salty tears mixed with the ocean water.
I wondered if Nya could feel them.

After I'd calmed down slightly, I laid down on my stomach and dangled my hand in the ater, tracing my index finder on its smooth surface.

"Hey, Nya. How's life down there? Up here, it sucks. We just had your memorial, and I'm pretty sure all of Ninjago showed up. The crowd went DOWN THE MOUNTAIN. Crazy, right?" I laughed softly, then my best friend the cloud of gloom came back. "I miss you, Waterlily. It's only been a week since you left and... and I feel like I can't function without you. I need you. We all do. But- but I can't..."
My voice broke, and I couldn't finish speaking.
