While waiting for Lord Malfoy to respond to his letter, Hadrian goofed off in front of his bathroom mirror. Silverclaw had explained to him what being a metamorphmagus meant and he giggled to his heart's delight as he focused and changed himself with magic. After spending so much time hiding his magic to not be screamed at for being a freak, he had never felt so free! He lost track of how long he spent changing his hair color and going from bushy eyebrows to an extra pointy nose. His favorite trick was hiding away his lightning bolt scar and couldn't wait to get his hands on more scar removal potions like what Marcy gave him at Gringotts. Maybe he could just go to Gringotts later and buy the potions from the goblins!
Raven hissed praise in his ear when he successfully removed the snake scales he had grown across his cheek. It got stuck for a good few minutes and Hadrian's best guess was that animal features are harder to control. He shifted everything back to normal, minus hiding his scar, when Milly knocked on the bathroom door. She walked in with a letter in her hand with a seal he was growing to become familiar with as the wax had the Malfoy's crest pressed into it. "The letter is safe! I has checked it myself!" Milly stated proudly as she had taken to protecting her master quite seriously and her English had been quickly improving. The letter itself was brief and simple, having been alerted by Silverclaw of Hadrian's situation, the Lord did not want to overwhelm him with too many people at once. He suggested that Hadrian meet his son along with his godfather, Severus Snape, at Florean Fortescue ice cream parlor to be in a public setting so Hadrian can feel safer.
There was also a separate note at the bottom of the letter stating that Draco is an avid shopper and is quite excited to meet him. He had told his father to ensure that Hadrian knew that he had offered his services to help his cousin look and have the best as that is what everyone in his family deserves. And that, if he is willing, Draco would love to show him around their family manor and share a cuppa tea with him after their shopping trip. Hadrian had never been allowed to go shopping before, aunt Petunia had always done it and now Milly or Willard will pop over to wherever they need for supplies. Scribbling down a quick response, Hadrian agreed to meet later on at the date and time suggested.
With more than a full day to mentally prepare to meet his cousin and the man that was actually godfather to both of them, Hadrian stressed in the library as he poured over texts on wizard etiquette to avoid accidentally insulting anyone. Milly sent Daisy and Ivy to him several times to remind him to eat and provided him with meals and snacks in between with nutrient potions to keep him from getting sick due to eating so frequently after starvation. He had been warned that after missing so many meals that he may never regain all the height his body should have grown into but some height is better than none.
The day passed by quicker than Hadrian would have preferred but he slept well as he went to bed with a full stomach and without injuries from his relatives. When he woke up and headed downstairs for breakfast, he couldn't help but wonder where Milly was getting his clothes from. She puffed her chest out slightly and proudly claimed that she had used her magic to preserve some of her old master's clothing and had shrunk it to better fit Hadrian. A bit weirded out over wearing a dead person's hand-me downs, and already nervous about the meeting, Hadrian did his best to hide his discomfort and insisted on cooking breakfast.
Despite it being against an elf's nature to argue with their masters, both Milly and Willard were quick to try and talk the young boy out of his idea. They ended in a compromise to where Hadrian could cook his food, just this once, as it was to help with his anxiousness. Their only request was that they could supervise and they get to clean up after him. Hadrian agreed as he loved to cook, especially considering he no longer had to sneak in bites of food when his relatives weren't looking. He kept the food light so as to not upset his nervous stomach and took his nutrient's potion without a grimace as he was starting to grow used to the taste. Raven doesn't bother hunting anything as she had had her fill of mice for a while and complained about getting fat if the elves didn't stop spoiling her.
