Renna
It felt like we had been riding for hours. Though that might've been from how uncomfortable of a position I was in. Crimson really was wider than your average horse. And though I was decent at riding, I had never ridden with broken ribs and being so sore.
The guy who threatened to kill me after I woke up - whatever his name was - had made no attempt at conversation. Which was fine, I didn't want to talk to him anyways.
I still wasn't convinced this wasn't a dream. The sky was a sky; I had fallen down a hole. If that wasn't enough, the trees in this forest were literally grey, and I was riding a-... alien? And this guy was dressed like a cosplayer trying to mix sci-fi and fantasy. He wore a cloak, and shiny silver armor with green glowing engravings, along with medieval-style leather boots. I had to admit, he did pull off the outfit pretty nicely, it matched his brown hair and green eyes- but that wasn't the point.
Nothing here made any sense.
I was getting tired of holding back complaints as the ride seemed to drag on. Just how far was this doctor?
My mind had jumped to countless ideas, ranging from completely absurd to somewhat likely, with more on the first than I would have liked.
Maybe I really was going insane.
Maybe I really did have brain damage.
No. No way. I was still sane- I just wouldn't be if I had to stay in this nightmare much longer.
I surprisingly wasn't actually in much pain from the fall, so maybe I was dreaming, and I had just tumbled off of my bed or something. Yeah, that made sense.
To add to it- I was wearing my locket. You know, the one I fell trying to find. I did not put it on.
So yeah, this had to be a dream.
I sighed, and slumped down slightly, suddenly feeling tired. Could you nap in dreams? Cause I sure felt like taking one.
I grabbed a random wad of cloth from somewhere on the saddle and propped it up against Mr. Annoying's back. I had to nap, and his armor was not comfortable to say the least.
I swore I could hear his huff as soon as I laid down. He was annoyed. For some reason, that only made the idea more appealing.
I could now check napping while riding off of my bucket list. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I knew he was going to tease me about it later though. I made myself as comfortable as I could manage, then drifted off to sleep.

I woke up maybe an hour later. I wasn't sure what did it- the light sprinkle of rain, the stench of that wad of cloth I had slept against, or Crimson stopping (yes, I remembered the alien's name but not Mr. Annoying's).
I groaned and sat up, almost immediately regretting my decision to take a nap. My back and neck were sore, and my broken ribs were especially angry.
"Are we there yet?" I asked groggily, trying to hide the pained tone to my voice.
"Oh hey- free faller decided to wake up from her beauty rest," Mr. Annoying responded.
"Oh, ha-ha. Real funny," I rolled my eyes. I was going to have to have a talk with myself about what kinds of people appear in my dreams. "I wasn't getting beauty rest. It was your fault for riding so slow."
