Battles

People think the
toughest battles involve
bombs,guns,and groups of people fighting for what they want.

But there's way more
brutal,bloody,terrifying,and twisted
battles that happen in the walls of someone's mind and behind closed doors.

Sadly these battles aren't given as much recognition as the ones on battlefields.

These battles don't make it in history, yet they are just as bloody,sad,and leave just as much battle scars.

With this battle
there's a twist.

You're against yourself,
instead of being surrounded by nature,
it's surrounded by your thoughts and lonliness.

Instead of fighting others you're fighting against yourself.

But, these both have so many similarities.
With both,
you either survive or die,
you want freedom and serenity.
You get scars showing you survived and they tell you a story.

With the self battle you want freedom from the monsters in your head screaming at you 24/7.

With the self battle you you get battle scars from, razors,lighters, anything to cause you pain.

But no matter the differences they are both battles that deserve equal recognition.
