“If you're reading this, then I’m no longer here.”
This isn’t a goodbye. I think I stopped saying goodbye long before I ever found the courage to leave. This is just… the truth. My truth. The kind I never had the space or the strength to speak when I was still pretending to be okay.
I don’t expect you to understand everything in these pages. Some of it will hurt. Some of it may feel unfair. But it’s all I have left. A final letter from someone you may have forgotten, misunderstood, loved too quietly, or hated too loudly.
You may wonder why I chose to write this now. The answer is simple: I needed someone to hear me, even if it’s too late.
There’s a kind of tired that doesn’t sleep off. A weight that doesn’t lift, no matter how much you smile, how often you laugh, or how many times you say, “I’m fine.” That’s the kind of tired I’ve been living with. And maybe that’s what this story really is, a letter from a soul too tired to stay.
Please don’t read this looking for a villain or a hero. I am neither. I’m just a man who tried. And now, I’m done trying.
If nothing else, I hope this gives you answers. Or at least, a glimpse into the silence I carried.
With whatever love I had left,
Leonardo.
