Blake turned to me "And once you finish speaking with my mother I would love for us to continue our conversation as soon as possible, Olivia."

Nadia and I turned our heads to her

"That lady is your mother??" Nadia asked looking at her surprise.

Blake casually folded her arms in front and nodded "Yeah. It's honestly her idea to throw this party for you guys. She's planned it all. She planned everything.." she replied as her lips would curl from the corner some.

Though the way she said that, it sort of gave me chills. It sounded as if there was a hidden purpose. A hidden plot.

What did she mean by 'She planned everything'?

I didn't like that very much but I shook it off and thought nothing more. "I'll be back....I'm just going to go talk with your mother..."

From there, Nadia and I headed inside to see how crowded the house was getting. All the locals were setting the table up with a plate of freshly baked goods. One of them got out an acoustic guitar and tapped his foot to the wooden floor rhythmically and then began strumming the instrument.

The other went to sit at the antique piano and started playing along.

Everyone gathered around to clap along to the music and hummed a melody while a few others danced as if they were in a county fair.

The music, the hospitality, everything was so southern.

Nadia beamed with excitement "I can't believe they'd do all this for us!"

Then soon, a young man wore dark clothing. A rolled up buttoned shirt, showing off his toned forearms. He also wore matching dark slacks with black suspenders. He has piercing brown eyes that sparked with generosity and his skin, a fair complexion.

It's the same guy I saw not long ago walking with Nadia.

Nadia instantly smiled, clearly enchanted by him with the way her gaze drank up his appearance. Honestly he is a handsome looking gentleman. He flashed Nadia a kind grin.

"May I have this dance?" He politely asked.

Nadia nodded "Sure!"

Before she went to dance, she turned to me. "Olivia. This is Silas Birk. He's a bartender at the local bar. I met him yesterday" she introduced then leaned in by my ear to whisper "Isn't he a dream??" Then pulled back as I could see her slightly chewing on her bottom lip with excitement and anticipation.

This man, Silas briefly gazed over at me and greeted me with a single nod. "Madame" he said in a respectful and proper manner.

I grin genuine "Nice to meet you" I said then turned to Nadia once more "Alright, you go on and have fun then"

"I will!" Nadia gladly said then took Silas hand as he guided her to a space in the living room to dance with her.

I would start to wander around for a bit to search for that lady I saw earlier until she ended up finding me.

She offered a kind smile.

Her eyes were a huge set of grayish-green. I almost mistook them for blue. She indeed has beautiful eyes, it was one of the things that made her stand out. Not only were her eyes a grayish-green but they were filled with kindness.

"You must be the one called Olivia" She started.

I nodded "Yes. I am"

The lady kept her warm, welcoming smile and held out a plate of a basic looking cake with green icing that said 'Welcome'.
