Everyone just got done eating since I shared some food that's from my two coolers. There was enough food to go around so everything turned out fine. Once they were done eating, they all headed up to get themselves ready for bed.
As for me, I just lingered downstairs a little longer, having a moment of peace and quiet.
But then again, I couldn't resist but pondered on the warning my deceased great grandfather tried to tell me. Why was I the only one seeing him? It's not like I'm anything special, I'm just a typical 24 year old girl.
I could still hear the voice of my great grandfather Seth ringing in my ear "Nilbog is an evil place!"
I replayed this in my head over and over. How can this town be evil when it's tranquil with the serene countryside? I mean sure, I've encountered some weirdos, take the priest for example and the general store guy. But other than that, I haven't seen any signs of evil....
Oh and I almost forgot.
That dude with the strict sourpuss face. That Gideon guy, he didn't seem to be all that kind. I don't think he likes me since he seemed so adamant on wanting me to leave this town.
Then that's when I realized that he was another individual telling me to leave. First my great grandfather told me to leave and then Gideon....
It makes me wonder......
What's so bad about this town that they want me and Johnny out?
I'm going to do some research right now.
I recalled that there's a book shelf in my guest room so I made my way up and entered inside it to see what books I have.
There were a few books on vegetation and landscapes. None of these seem to have caught any of my curiosity. I've been browsing through for almost about a minute now and was so close to just calling it a night.
Then suddenly I spotted one book that lies at the very bottom of the shelf. So I bent down and picked it up to have a better observation.
The book was a little worn out and covered in dust. So I blew the dust off and I can now see the golden title clearly.

I gently traced my fingers over the title while thinking to myself if there are answers that lie within the book.
So I went over to sit on the bed in a criss-crossed position and opened the book to look through.
Half the pages have information about forbidden lands and the dark creatures they have in each of them. This book is basically like an encyclopedia. To be honest this is the kind of book you'd see in the library. I didn't think much of it really until I stumbled upon a page that has a short story. So I began to silently read it in my thoughts.
