'~•.•°•-11. A Chat Gone Wrong-•°•.•~'

Start from the beginning

But then again, I did learn that this is a Vegan community according to that creepy store clerk, Hank.

Besides that strange moment, all three, Johnny, Nadia and I went to head outside.

Just as we were walking our way to town. We stopped as we heard Blake call out to me from the house.

We all turned to see Blake getting out and approached towards me.

Once she was standing before me, she asked "You mind if I talk to you for a moment?"

I can see that she was playing off as casual but, somehow. The tone of her voice was laced with something, sounding as if she had a bone to pick with me. It sort of came off as confrontational but she's keeping composed all at once.

Honestly, it was making me feel uneasy. It made me feel as if I've done something I shouldn't but I kept my cool since I didn't want to jump into any conclusions.

I then turned to glance back at my brother and Nadia. "You guys go ahead. I'll catch up later"

Johnny and Nadia nodded then from there, they took off on the way to town until they were out of sight.

I turned back to gaze at Blake who stood there, putting on a smile. Though something was off about her smile. It didn't look genuine to me. It didn't look kind. I couldn't help but get the impression that her smile is forced on.

That's when Blake gently put her arm over my shoulders while guiding me back to the house. "So, tell me. How are you enjoying your stay in Nilbog so far? Is it similar to where you live?"

"Oh well uh....Well I think it's a nice town. Pretty peaceful.....Though my town is way different and isn't as serene as Nilbog....." I replied.

I find it unusual that she would want to talk to me. Off the bat, she didn't like me when I recall her flashing those cold eyes at me yesterday.

But I went along with her little act as composed as possible.

Once we made it at the side of the house, we both sat down and started talking.

Blake was asking me questions like when was I born, what I was like growing up, what my family was like and what I do for a living. She was asking a lot of personal questions.

We seemed to be talking for hours until I couldn't help but see a lady approaching the house, holding a plate of some sort of what looked to be baked goods. But she wasn't alone. No, in fact. A couple of people from town arrived at the house with baked goods of their own.

Then that's when I spotted Nadia with some guy. When she spotted me at the side of the house with Blake.

Nadia jogged over to me and beamed "Olivia! Hey!" She began.

"Can you believe it? These towns people came by to properly welcome us! Even though we're leaving soon, they figured they would throw us a little party before we go. So I didn't have to go to that breakfast after all" Nadia added.

I looked at her with my brows raised as this was unexpected for me. "Oh...Oh wow. They're throwing a party?....For us?"

Nadia nodded "Yeah! Isn't that wonderful?? Oh and that lady you saw? She's the mayor of Nilbog"

Learning that the mayor of Nilbog is here, I felt that I could take the advantage of asking her for help.

"Well in that case, I'll head inside and meet her" I replied.
