'~•.•°•-11. A Chat Gone Wrong-•°•.•~'

I headed downstairs and turned my way into the kitchen to see Johnny sitting at the table, surrounded by Nadia, Leah and Blake.

Leah gently caressed his arm as Blake had a hand over his left shoulder while Nadia was seated in front of him.

The girls flashed their smiles at him while intently listening to my brother's stupid, lame jokes. And the girls ACTUALLY find it humorous.

I just stood there with a blank face, my eyes blinking.

Johnny wore a casual, charming smile. "Say. Do you ladies know what they say about a clean desk?"

Remaining attentive, the girls leaned in by him a little more as if they're invested. "No, what?" Leah asked curiously with interest.

With a sly smile, Johnny looked at the girls and replied "It's a sure sign of a cluttered desk drawer.."

The girls instantly broke out into laughter while Nadia commented in a giggly tone. "You're so funny!"

To me? I don't find it funny. Just plain stupid.

Soon, I shook off my blank expression and cleared my throat to get everyone's attention.

It worked as everyone set their eyes on me now.

Johnny smiles "Olivia, hey. Did you sleep well at all?"

The question only got me to briefly recall that unusual but ominous dream I had. In a way I couldn't really get over it. Somehow it all felt real to me. Too real. But then I pushed the thought away and replied.

"Uh..Yeah. I slept alright..." I lied.

I didn't want to tell the truth about the strange nightmare I had since I feel that everyone is going to ridicule me or think I'm some kind of cuckoo head.

Then I added out "I was thinking of heading into town to see if I could work things out with Gideon and try reaching out to dad again. Anybody wanna tag along?"

Nadia let out a soft gasp and jumped to her feet approaching me. "Speaking of going into town, I was invited to the local breakfast in Nilbog. A handsome guy named Silas is counting on me to be there."

Not thinking much of it, I nodded "Alright, cool." I said.

But before I step out of the house with Nadia, I noticed that one person isn't present here at all. I grew puzzled and asked. "Hey, so where's Mayra?"

"Oh! Mayra headed out early to meet up with Sheriff Pine for that local breakfast in town! We could meet up with her before we all take off?" Nadia suggested.

I was super unsure about the breakfast in this town due to the fact I tried their nasty ass tea and milk. But I was all in for the idea of getting to the pay phone in hopes of reaching out to my dad successfully this time. And of course, find Gideon so that he can try helping me out.

So I took her suggestion.

"Alright. Let's get going then" I said.

Johnny immediately got up from his chair and went over to me and Nadia. "If breakfast is involved then I'm tagging along too!" He said then added out "I'm so hungry, I could eat a humongous supply of raw meat!"

Leah and Blake can be heard grunting in great disgust as their bodies shudder.

But the way they expressed themselves was just so.....Out of the ordinary. It came off pretty spine-chilling. It felt as if a Vampire was avoiding a pack of garlic.
