Blake kept her eyes on me without even blinking then lightly scoffed. "Coulda fooled me..." She said as I detected a slight attitude in the tone of her voice.
"Huh?...."
With the way she stares with that fake smile and composed body language, I got the feeling that she's trying to intimidate me in some way.
I was uneasy, yes but I'm not going to give her the satisfaction either. I remained patient with her little façade.
"I mean after all. You are a beautiful girl. Just by waltzing into town, a few guys already had their eyes on you. All of them were gawking at you like you are the center of attention..." Blake replied genuinely but laced with a hint of envy.
I could see the burning sensation within her gaze. It's like she's trying her hardest to hide it but the spite can easily be spotted reflecting from her gunmetal blue eyes. Though the stare alone made it almost seem icy blue.
I let out a soft, nervous laugh to try easing the tension. "I hadn't noticed.....Honestly in situations like this, I don't have my mind on any boys right now."
"Didn't seem like that when you were talking to Dylan......" Blake pointed out.
I temporarily froze to the thought of Dylan.
I mean I did see him in my dream. I didn't understand why but Blake bringing him up made the moment awkward and uncomfortable.
I tried to keep a casual smile but felt that my own lips betrayed me as if it came off more nervous than natural. "Oh. Well. He seems like a sweet guy. I don't know, I guess he has a liking for me"
Blake then stood up on her feet, looking down on me as her face went serious and slightly gave me the stink eye. "You must think you're really special, don't you?..." She asked.
Taken aback I grew perplexed and got up on my feet as well, looking at her as I have no idea what she's on about. "Excuse me?......."
Blake took one step closer, getting in my face as she looked me dead in the eyes with hatred. "You heard me. You think you're really something all because you got Dylan's attention" then she held her index finger out at me. "Well let me tell you something, sweetheart. Dylan is already spoken for. He is MINE. And if I EVER catch you near his presence again, it's gonna get ugly." She warned dangerously.
Then she looked at me up and down as if I were a pile of trash then said. "But no matter. You'll be gone by the time this party is over anyway. I'll bid you good riddance, slut" she said nastily with a mocking smirk and turned with a bold jerk.
That's when I couldn't take it, the way she spoke to me was pure ugly and on top of that. Called me a slut. I don't take kindly to disrespect so I reached out to roughly grab and yank at her hair.
"What the hell did you just call me!?" I snapped.
Big mistake.
Cause from there, things escalated to being confrontational into something horrifying.
Blake spun around to reveal her appearance. She morphed!
Her ears were now pointy, her eyes shifted to an abnormal biohazard green, her teeth were razor sharp and her brows and forehead.
Do you guys know what the forehead of a vampire looks like in the movies? Well it looked something like that!! Demonic looking!
She made a guttural, high pitched screech as she drew out her claws.
I felt myself turn pale and my heart jump to my throat. I let out a scream of horror as Blake would lunge at me. She gripped tightly onto my hair.
I do everything in my power to push her off and fight back but Blake was just too strong!!
She attempted to set my head back into the bear trap that was laying on the ground nearby.
Blake had that menacing gleam in her bright, green eyes while breathing heavily and hissing. She had that horrible thirst to finish me off as I was screaming out for help.
Then out of nowhere.
"BLAKE!!!"
The next thing I knew, I felt Blake was being pulled off and away from me.
It was Dylan who got her off and was restraining her.
But Blake was desperately trying to go after me, slashing her claws in the air, at me. Snapping her sharp teeth and screeching violently like someone that's possessed by an evil entity.
"Blake!! Stop it!!" Dylan shouts.
But Blake just kept going deranged like a rabid animal, swinging her claws in the air, screeching wildly like murder was on her mind.
She was also trying to fight off his restraints as Dylan would shake her a bit in an attempt to get her out of her senses.
"Blake!!! STOP IT!!!" Dylan shouted while shaking her more firmly.
In the process, Blake would trip over a rock on the ground as she fell. Her head landed hard on the cement steps, hearing that sickening thud and I could've sworn I heard a crack!
From there, I was paralyzed with fear, just staring down at the now, lifeless body of Blake who's still in her monstrosity form.
I watched seeing green liquid pooling out from her and running down the steps. chlorophyll green.
That's her blood??? Is that REALLY her blood???
Dylan stood there, frozen and shocked by what just happened. "Oh shit......."
I couldn't move at first as this was something that I'd never thought would happen. This can't be happening!! None of it can't be real!!
Soon I managed to climb to my feet as a tremor spread throughout my legs. Making them shaky. At this point I was trembling throughout my entire body as I turned my fearful eyes to Dylan.
"What........W-What the hell is going on??....." I forced myself to ask in a shaky voice.
There was a long pause as the silent screamed loudly. I could see Dylan staring down at the lifeless body of Blake, there was fear and worry that lingered in his gaze. He stood there as if he screwed up.
Eventually, Dylan slowly turned his head towards me, his face draped with dread. "I tried to warn you......" he finally mustered out.
