Chapter Twenty-Two

Ah Ha! ,I found you!

What the hell?

Where is my battery?

Those mother effing....ahem...are gonna pay! They cant just...

Who does that?! 

At least take the whole goddamn thing!!

I screamed in frustration and threw the phone on the floor.

"Dammit!" I muttered into the pillow. What now?

I guess I  could just stare in space...Yup.

I'll just do that. 

I closed my eyes...

*Flashback*

2 years ago

I walked briskly down the dark narrow alley. Why? Oh why did I choose to leave school so late?

Any moment now someone is gonna kidnap me or murder me

Oh great I just scared the shit outta myself....

Finally I exited the alley and went into a huge parking lot. I heard a noise behind me and ignored it.

The sound kinda sounded like shoes being scoffed on the ground but I'm pretty sure no ones following me. 

After crossing the lot, I decided to take a neighbourhood.

It wasn't the safest place but I should be home in no time.

I heard the sound again and this time I spun around. I could just make out a man in a hoodie.

\I frowned and he took one step forward. I panicked and took a step back.

The man walked forward some more.

"Oh well he's harmless." I thought. (Stupidly)

I turned back around and started walking. I heard his speed pick up and without looking back at him, I started to run. 

I  looked back at the man briefly and saw that he was hot on my heels. I continued running while occasionally looking back at him.

I came near the end of the neighbourhood .

I ran pass an old car, looked back and BOOM!

I ran into a wall then fell on my butt. I was stunned so I stayed there for several minutes.

I dint look up, afraid of what I would see. At the corner of my eyes, I saw many pairs of shoes, six to be specific, encircling me.

"Melissa?" Someone asked.

I looked up sharply at the sound of my name.

I cant believe it....

"Nicholas?"

He grabbed my arm and hoisted me to my feet.

"You know this girl?" A very big man, who had huge muscles and tattoos on his biceps.

"Yea. She goes to my school." Nicholas murmured.

"That girl belongs to me." A deep voice boomed, I jumped and cowered in Nicholas' arms.

"Go away. You have no business here." The big man said sharply.

"Fine...Just give me the girl and I''ll be on my way." My stalker replied.

"No... Now go away." Nicholas said firmly.

"I just want the girl." The man in the hoodie persisted.

"NO!" Nicholas shouted. I whimpered in his shirt.

"Just give me..."

"You shut up." The muscled man said, he pointed at the man, "Nick take the girl home. We'll deal with this faggot."

Nicholas nodded and grabbed my arm.

"What are you doing here?" He whispered as we walked past the rest of the men.

"He started running after me." I said shakily.

"What are you doing in this kind of neighbourhood in the middle of the night?" He asked roughly."I had to stay back at school for a detention and I couldn't get a bus...I waited over an hour. And so I started to  walk and..." My voice trembled.

"Hey your okay now? OK?"

I nodded," So what are you doing..here?"

"Don't you worry about that...cupcake."

I groaned,"Why?"

"It fits you...." He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes.

*Flashback Over*

My eyes flew open immediately, I breathed heavily...

That was so long ago. Why am I just remembering it?

I don't think, after that night did remember about what happened that day.

For some reason...I suppressed the memory.

I sighed.

I miss my parents...even my brother.

I miss Nick...

I sighed again...How long will I be here?
