"Yes, I am. I hope I always will be." He cocked his head to the side giving you a playful glance.

"What I meant is, you're not an avatar? I knew those existed, but I didn't know There were one's you guys could make that didn't phase through things." You crossed your arms, rubbing them to keep them warm.

"Well I...uh...This isn't an avatar. There is a lot that went into it but I am really here. I'm not a projection or anything." Finally, it was his turn to feel awkward.

"Mm I don't know, kind of sounds like something a projection would say." You teased him. Hoping you could finally have the upper hand. You tried to act coy, looking at him over your shoulder while you paced. But instead of looking flustered, there was a mischievous smile on his face. You watched him stand slowly, probably under the impression that any sudden movements would put you in cardiac arrest, so you turned to him as he walked towards you like you were saying "No, I won't run off like a spooked deer". A glimmer of excitement passed in his eyes, ones that had seemed to grow redder by the second.

"I can prove I'm not just a projection or a hologram." He purred and grasped your hands bringing them up to his face, placing a soft kiss on both. Your heart skipped a beat, and your brain turned to mush at the gesture. You cleared your throat but didn't remove your hands from his as he took a step back and leaned on the banister. Your feet followed his until you were practically leaning on him for balance.

He frowned, not a bad frown, but one that looked like he was trying not to give himself away. With furrowed brows, he dropped his grip on your wrists and pulled you into a hug. A squeak left your lungs, a little from surprise and a little from the pressure.

"Oh! Sorry!" He apologized and pulled back, his hands lingering on your forearms. Before you could stop yourself, you let out a laugh and boldly wrapped your arms around his midsection.

"I can actually hug you, oh my god!" You buried the side of your face in his chest and felt him sigh into your hair. You then felt his arms snake around your arms and you thought you could have stayed like that forever. Melting yourself into him, forgetting everything and everyone, the only sounds being the chatter of winter animals and the rise and fall of the score that dripped out of the open balcony doors.

A chill ran down the exposed part of your arms and as much as you didn't want to show it, you were getting cold. You pulled back, feeling his hands hesitate on letting go of you.

"So uh...what is with the new look? For real though...how did this happen?" You gave him no room to ignore your question this time.

"Well, it was actually Starscream who came up with the idea and how to make it work." He gave you a non-answer and you figured that was the only one you were getting.

"Oh, so you're rigged to explode then?" You took a cautious step back. He chuckled a bit.

"Well knowing him, probably." Megatron let a smile on his face.

"Of course he would be out to ruin my one chance." You muttered.

"Your one chance?" His smile slowly disappeared. Replaced with his eyebrows furrowing together again.

"Well yeah, I mean this," You pointed between yourself and the humanized mech. "The chance of any of this happening." There was silence after that as you watched the words sink into his mind. He opened his mouth to say something, then closed it, then opening it again. Asking you for clarification.

"This is by chance? I don't know what you mean." He said in a whisper. Moving a step towards you.

"I mean, imagine the chances of me being put here. In this world. It is truly a crazy coincidence." You finally said. "I just wonder how you would have felt if I.... If I wasn't your soul...er...sparkmate. If that's really what we are..." You admitted, sounding defeated, as if the thought of being with you was simply just in his nature. Being pulled to you the same way a person is pulled under a current. Thrashing and flailing but ultimately succumbing to the harsh waves. A part of you screamed he wouldn't be standing in front of you if that were the case. That if he could fight it, he would have. If he could have left, he would have. If he didn't have to be there with you, he wouldn't be.
