I'm one of the great Zero drones- we're the custodians of the number hives! long long LOOONG time ago when we were more wild that is... Now a days, we're all about science and inventing... All that cool stuff! All that MATH really expanded our brains! Or uh..well- whatever you'd call our neural cells. Or uh...blood, or uh-

Anyways.
I suppose you all wanna know what's up in this dingy old lab! No? well, This is Goiky Labs! Located in some place I can't specify. One of the very few homeworlds populated almost entirely by objects! Its to the point where they're actually fully sapient- just like us!
They are a proud and incredible species. In the wild they'd live in enormous colonies. They had the dietary capability to survive off either the smallest crumbs of food or the most atrocious filth imaginable. They were competitive amongst each other- to a brutal extent even. Yet they are deeply familial and protective of their young. All this and a little bit of recovery sprinkled in- and you had a species with almost endless genetic diversity. It probably helped a lot that this planet is almost 40% made up of little separate islands, and objects can migrate across pretty much any terrain.
Us numbers, or scientifically Algebralien Sapiens, had intense trouble trying to map their true genome, we had to import them from other planets or capture ones in the wild, which majority of us were highly against due to severe cruelty laws. (It wasn't against the law to test on Gn'eerps, Zzt-Zarmps or Shlumbos but eh, those things are like, literally amoebas.)
It was until the Speaker Boxes or Sonus Influentia started to have a bit of a crisis with their populations that they managed to pull enough resources into finally mapping the ENTIRE object genome! Goiky Labs is the one and only lab on this one little planet that can successfully produce artificial objects.
For a long time the speakers owned this lab- they did a lot of great things with the objects! But then things just kept sort of...going. So Eight and Ten sent Four and his "buddy" X to not only check out what was wrong- but also pick up on that huge scary project they were so hyped over! Whatever it was it HAD to be cool! And we put all our trust in Four and X to deal with it!
