Friday/Game Day

I woke up smiling.

Still wrapped up in my blanket, heart feeling like it was glowing.

Every time I thought about last night....the way he kissed me...the way he looked at me.....I smiled even harder.

I laid there for a second, hugging my pillow tight, until reality kicked in.

It's Friday.

Zayn's game day.

And I have class.

I groaned a little, dragging myself out of bed.
Shower first.
Brush my teeth.
Lotion, perfume.
Fluffy white robe wrapped around me as I padded around the room, looking for my outfit.

I pulled out a white ribbed dress that hugged me in all the right places but still looked simple and cute.Layered a mini white jean jacket over it.
Slid on my Gucci platform sandals, the soft beige ones with the gold lettering.

(Nyomi's outfit 😍😏)

I left my curls out...big, fluffy, full..flipping them over to get that effortless volume.
Then I perched my little cream shades right on top of my head.
Mini Louis Vuitton bag slung across my body.
Lip gloss popping, silver hoop earrings in, bracelets stacked.

Okay.I feel cute.

I was just grabbing my iPad and notebooks when my phone buzzed on the desk.

Zayn: Good morning 🙃

I stared at the text a little too long, biting my lip before my thumbs moved.

Me: Good morning! Good luck today... I'll be there.

I hit send and just laid there for a second, smiling at the screen like an idiot.

Why was I nervous? I wasn't even playing.
I was watching.

I  continued packing my bag for the day, grabbed my iPad, a few pens, lip gloss, and headed to class.

...............................................................

The day flew by.

Lecture after lecture, note after note.
I stayed focused, writing on my iPad as I highlighted everything I needed for next week's exams.

I met up with Aaliyah and Jamir at lunch, laughed about dumb campus gossip, and somehow still managed to stay caught up on my assignments.

But the whole time...I didn't see Zayn once.

Not in class.
Not in passing.
Not at the café.
Not even walking out of the gym.

I wasn't trying to be pressed, but...
