Firey had always wanted to swim. The others would dive in and out of the lake, while he was stuck on the shore, unable to join. The thought of sinking and burning the water terrified him, but one day, Leafy came up to him, all excited.

"Firey! I want to swim too! I've been practicing, but I can't do it without you!" Leafy said, bouncing around.

Firey looked down at the lake, feeling both sad and excited. "But... I can't swim. Every time I try, I burn the water!" He sighed.

Leafy frowned. "That's okay! We'll figure it out! We just need to find a way!"

That was when Firey remembered the Yoyle Berry—a magical berry that makes you metal. "Wait a minute... I've heard of a Yoyle Berry! It might help me swim!" Firey's eyes brightened. "I'll go find one, and we can swim together!"

Leafy's eyes sparkled. "You'll really do that? I can't wait!" she cheered.

So, Firey dashed off to search for the berry. After a quick journey through the forest, he found it—glowing and beautiful, hanging from a vine. He snatched it up, quickly popped it into his mouth, and waited. For a moment, nothing happened. Then, he turned gray.. he was metal. Firey felt a cool breeze. Tentatively, he stepped into the water.

To his amazement, he didn't burn the lake! The water was cool, and he could actually swim! Firey whooped in excitement, doing a happy spin in the water.

He rushed back to Leafy. "It worked! Let's swim!"

Together, they jumped in, laughing and splashing around like they'd always dreamed. Firey finally felt like he belonged—and this time, he could swim without fear. And with Leafy by his side, it was even better.
