"Kendall, don't look but that guy is here again." I whisper to my friend.

"Again?! Oh my god Alex, where?!" She gasps.

Of course she has to snap her head around and stare at him, making it completely obvious. I groan and watch as the guy switch his gaze from the table to me. After freshman year, for the whole summer I've been working at a small cafe in town. And ever since I've been here, the same guy sits at the same table and watches me. Of course since he always orders stuff, I can't kick him out but he's creepy. He always requests for me to serve him too, which makes him even more weird. I've never seen this boy before and neither has Kendall or any of our other friends. They all think he's new to town but I think that he's satan's spawn.

Kidding, I'm kidding. (Not really.)

"Ken, go serve him." I say through my teeth, pushing her ahead.

"But he's just gonna ask for you, you do it." She whispered.

"Please, he's like so weird!" I say, throwing my hands up.

I give her a pleading look and she gives in, walking to him with a fake smile on. I watch as they talk for a moment and I think that he gave up on me and wants Kendall instead. But suddenly he frowns and points to me. Shit. Kendall walks to me with a sad smile on her face and pats my back.

"He practically begged me for you to serve him." She sighs.

I groan and walk to him, not even smiling or having a hint of enthusiasm on my face. His face lit up once he saw mine and he looked maybe a little too excited to see me.

"Hi, can I get you anything?" I ask in monotone.

"Hi." He grins, staring up at me with big brown eyes.

"I asked if you wanted anything." I repeat myself.

"Oh, uh I don't know." He says, looking at the menu.

"We don't have an oh, uh I don't know." I say annoyed.

He ignores my bitchy comment and looks at the menu again.

"Can I have a lemonade and a grilled cheese?" He asks.

"Yeah, sure." I nod, turning around.

"Thank you!" He says rather loudly.

I groan and get his lemonade and wait for his stupid grilled cheese.

"He is staring at you still. Oh my god, he hasn't even blinked." Kendall said, kind of freaked out.

I was kind of freaked out too. I look over to him and he is staring right at me. No emotion in his eyes, he's just staring. But as soon as he sees me raise an eyebrow, he smiles, waving.

"I don't know what to do." I frown.

"There's nothing you can do. I mean, he looks harmless. He probably just has a crush on you." She says, giggling towards the end.

"I guess. I'll be right back, I have to give him his stupid food." I mutter, walking towards him.

I lay the food down in front of him and he eats it happily, leaving me to go run away and hide. A few hours have past and after helping a couple more people, it's the end of my shift. Kendall unfortunately has to close down the shop, so I have to go home alone. There's no one in right now since its late but I see a person still at a table from the corner of my eye. And it's him. It's been 3 hours and he was still there. How could I not notice him before? He looks at me and waves me over with a smile. I walk over to him hesitantly and look at him.

"Can you sit down please?" He asks.

Well this is new. I sit down in the seat across from him and he is still smiling at me. I hesitantly smile back and he looks down, his attitude changing from (too) happy to nervous.

"You're Alex, right?" He asks.

I point to the name tag on my shirt and nod, raising an eyebrow. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and looked down.

"Well I've been seeing you for a while and I-I just wanted to know if you're doing anything tomorrow? I wanted to know if you would h-hang out with me." He stuttered.

Was he asking me out on a date? I didn't even know his name, or anything about him. He looked into my eyes with a desperate look on his face, studying mine to see my reaction. From this close, I could see how big his caramel colored eyes were and how his lips were heart shaped. He had short brown hair and small beauty marks on his face. He had a jawline, and only god knew how much I loved jawlines. He was attractive- there was no doubt about it. But he was kind of weird, too.

"Well?" He asks, breaking my train of thoughts.

Have some decency and stop mind fucking him, give him an answer, I mentally curse at myself. I sighed and looked down, biting my lip.

"But I don't even know your name." I say, hoping he would leave it at that.

But of course, he didn't. He loses the whole nervous demeanor and smiles warmly at me. He licks his lips before looking at me in the eye and says,

"Jason. Jason McCann."
