Part 18 - Avoiding

A/N: Sorry for being gone so long! I've been busy with school and I haven't had much motivation to write but here's a chapter, not the best and definitely not interesting but here we are- 

Camie's P.O.V:

I watch Mina as she paces with Toru, who's still invisible. Toru revealed herself with a squeal while Mina and I were talking and then apologised. They both are trying to come with ideas to help me get over Bakubae. So far they got nothing.

Considering the fact that they are the biggest matchmakers in school I'm surprised they don't know how to help someone get over someone. Like what-? How can you only know how to get people together?

"What if you just- like- I don't know, avoid him?" Toru asks.

"But I still want us to be friends! That's the whole reason I'm not confessing!" I exclaim. Bakugou is one of the bestest friends I've ever had, admittedly he's not good at being friends but he is a good friend.

"What if you just avoid him until you get over him?" Mina asks, "Then you can go back to being friends."

"I guess..." I mutter. "Besides, I doubt he'd care much even if I avoided him." I ignore the exasperated looks from Mina and Toru, or at least I assume the look Toru gave me.

The next day in class, Mina and Toru have agreed to help me avoid Bakugou, but subtly. I'm not gonna switch tables again, cause lets be real, that was sooo drama drama of me.

Bakubae isn't one to start a conversation and I do my best not to talk to him. I talk with the girls instead.

"Hey, where's Momo?" I ask, glancing around, I notice Todo-bae missing too, "And where's Todo?"

Mina gasps and looks around the room. "No way!" She squeals. "You don't think they're secretly sneaking around do you?"

"Have you met Todoroki?" Tsu asks and Ochako giggles.

"Neither of them are the type to sneak around." Kyoka points out.

"True..." Mina pouts. "I swear none of my ships want to get together." She shoots me a pointed glare and I just smile and put my thumb and forefinger together in a heart shape.

"How about you worry about yourself." I nudge Mina with my shoulder.

"Wh-what do you mean?" She asks, giving me what looks to be a completely genuinely confused look.

"Be so fr! You and Kiri-bae!" I exclaim. Mina's skin turns the shade of Kirishima's hair.

"We-we're only friends!" She says, waving her hands nonchalantly.

"Sure sure!" All the girls are laughing at Mina's flustered look. "Don't tell me the matchmaker didn't realise her own feelings!" I tease.

We continue teasing Mina until Momo walks in with Todoroki and we switch our efforts to her.

From the corner of my eye I spot Bakubae looking at us, I can't help it when I wink at him. He rolls his eyes and turns away. I giggle before turning back to my friends. Mina shoots me a knowing look, having seen the small interaction and I can't help the blush that creeps up my neck.

We disperse when Aizawa rolls in, literally rolls in.

I move back to my chair and Bakugo spares me a glance before turning back to the front.

I can tell the girls are confused when I ignore Bakugou and choose to hang out with them instead during lunch, but hey, a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to get over a crush.

To be completely honest I would have totes told Bakubae that I liked him if he hadn't told me that he had no interest in dating. Like he had rejected me before I even liked him like that! C'mon! Just my luck!

A week later, I can tell everyone, including Bakugou, is confused with me ignoring him. I don't think I've ever ignored anyone for this long, yeesh! I'm honestly kinda bored. Like I love the girls and Mei but I miss bugging Bakubae and him flipping out.

The worst part? I'm still not over him!

I'm laying on my bed when I hear a knock on my door.

"Come in!" I call, expecting to see one of the girls. I sit up suddenly when I see Bakugou walk in. "Bakugou?!"

"Yeah, you don't have to fucking scream." He walks in the room and glances around my, surprisingly plain, room. "Why have you been avoiding me?" Straight to the point I see. "I thought we were done with the awkwardness..." I mean- I haven't been awkward around him, mostly cause I haven't been around him.

"I have not been avoiding you!" I try to sound as cheery as possible, "Why? Do you miss me?" Now I'm actually plain teasing him.

"Hell no!" He snaps, is it just me or are his cheeks pink!? "I just-" He hesitates, HESITATES! BAKUGOU KATSUKI JUST HESITATED, SOMEONE GET THE CAMERAS!!!!

"Yeah?" I try to act chill, I have no hope that the guy likes me, well ok maybe a little, but I know logically that he doesn't like me.

"Nevermind, it's stupid." He turns around to walk away.

"Wait, stop!" I jump off my bed to stop him but he's already stopped and turned around again. "Please tell me..."

A/N: So I wassss gonna continue this chapter but I had 0 motivation and rlly rlly wanted to update so yeah-
