2019, Autumn
HUI YING STEPPED INSIDE THE DORM seeing Sang Yan playing games on his phone, she scoffed quietly before realising he hadn't heard her coming inside.
She smiled, stepping slowly closer towards him as she placed her hands on his shoulders while screaming.
It made Sang Yan jump up, letting his phone fall to the ground as he screamed. It made Hui Ying burst into laughter, he reminded her of a little girl when he screamed. When Sang Yan realised that it was Hui Ying who scared him, he patted the dust off his shirt.
Hui Ying laughed, wiping her eyes as tears of laughter had began to form in them. She had never seen Sang Yan jump so high before - and she had seen him do high jumping at a school event. She slapped her legs, still laughing at the scene.
Sang Yan was having enough with her, scoffing as he sat back down in the chair he was sitting in. "You can stop now." He spoke, shaking his head as he couldn't admit that he was embarrassed.
But Hui Ying could see it in his face. She could see the light blush forming on his cheek, how his ears were slightly red and how much his eyes were fluttering. Hui Ying cleared her throat, trying to cover up her laughs.
But she couldn't, letting a few chuckles geap through before regaining herself again. "I'm sorry, that was the funniest thing i've seen all week!" She spoke, marching her way through his dorm as she looked around the place. There were four beds, four tables and four chairs.
It almost looked exactly like the girls dorm where her sister was staying in, it was just filled with boys stuff.
She sat herself down in one of the chairs, spinning around as she looked around. Sang Yan groaned, clearly unhappy with her being there. "Your going to sit down? Weren't you going to help?" Sang Yan asked her, his eyes almost inspecting her.
She shrugged her shoulders, her head nodding to the phone he was holding. "Your playing games instead of actually being busy." She spoke softly, knowing that he was playing games as she practically caught him. "That means we're both saying things that aren't truth." A smile hiding in her lips as she spoke.
Sang Yan could only roll his eyes, placing the phone in his pocket as he stood up. "Do you need anything?" Going over towards the fridge that was placed in their room, the fridge held all sorts of drinks.
The girl only shook her head, she had some water in her bag somewhere so she didn't really need anything. "Where's my sister?" Sang Yan spoke, his eyes not leaving the video game he was playing. Hui Ying sat down, reaching in her bag as she grabbed the water bottle. "She saw your dad's car, she's unpacking." She said with a shrug.
The way she spoke so casually made Sang Yan realise how different Hui Ying and his sister Sang Zhi were. Hui Ying was calm, but could snap back fast. She spoke her mind and was expressive with her face, you'd know what she was feeling by just that. Hui Ying was without Sang Zhi calm, collected and kind of quiet in a way.
But with Sang Zhi, she was very outgoing and could talk for hours on end.
Sang Yan still remembered the time he was cramming for a test while Hui Ying had come over to help Sang Zhi prepare for hers the next day. The two of them kept chatting endlessly, and all Sang Yan could think about was how much he wished it would end. He could never forget the days where he couldn't study because of his blabbermouth sister and blabbermouth friend.
He sighed, leaning back in his chair, the memories still lingering like the faint buzz of a fly you couldn't quite swat away. Hui Ying twisted open the cap of her water bottle and took a sip, her eyes casually drifting around the room as if she hadn't just emotionally flashbanged him with that stupid scream.
