2019, Autumn

HUI YING LOVED when a new season rolled around, she adored how the flowers changed in the seasons. Now they were in full bloom, they were probably waiting for it to be cold again.

The season starting meant that her older sister was finally heading to university, her parents had been going full steam in moving her into her new dormitory. It was nice to have an older sister, Hui Ying felt less scared for everything.

She knew that if her sister could do it, so could she.

Coming up on the house that was so similar, the house she had almost spent the entire summer at, a smile faltered on her face. Sang Zhi had been her best friend since the beginning of elementary school.

Although Hui Ying was a class above Sang Zhi, that didn't stop the two from becoming really good friends.

Sang Zhi was nice, one of the sweetest girls in her whole class. The two immediately clicked it off by their mutual agreement of hating physics, it was like meant to be with the two. Sang Zhi was soft toned, she loved the quiet and was kind of shy.

Hui Ying wasn't the opposite of that, but she was at least a little more out there than Sang Zhi. The two clicked like water and ice, the same but different in every way possible. It was nice to have a friend like that, a friend that would be there for you.

Hui Ying entered the house, unlocking the door with her own house key the family had given her. She was practically family which is why they had given it to her, it was nice to be accepted like that. She couldn't speak about her family like that, her family was more invested in what her older sister was doing.

Although she did adore her older sister, so she didn't have much to complain about.

The house was loud, Hui Ying could hear Sang Yan's voice from the kitchen. Sang Zhi had invited her over for breakfast, the two girls were normally going to roam around the mall for some new clothes.

"I'm here!" Hui Ying announced, making Sang Zhi turn around while gasping. The girl almost sprinted over towards her friend before opening her arms to give the girl a big hug. It made Hui Ying laugh, while also wrapping her arms around the girl.

Sang Zhi pulled away, before grabbing her hand to take her towards the kitchen. "I'm super excited for the mall today! It's going to be so fun!" Sang Zhi spoke, it made Hui Ying laugh as she was also excited for it.

Sang Yan rolled his eyes, it wasn't hard for Hui Ying to miss it. "I haven't seen you in a month, and your more excited for your friend who you've seen yesterday." Sang Yan complained.

He was the complainer, that was the first thing Hui Ying had realised when she met him. He complained a lot, but in a way she could understand it as their parents obviously adore Sang Zhi more than him.

"I'm just more important." Hui Ying spoke, shrugging her shoulders as she laughed. She was comfortable with the family, so it was normal for her to tease the boy. He only shook his head, obviously not believing a word she was saying.

Sang Zhi also rolled her eyes, pulling Hui Ying down to sit with her at the table. "That's because I like her more than I like you." Sang Zhia admitted casually, shrugging her shoulders with a manner.

Sang Zhi was the best at bullying her brother, it was a thing that Hui Ying adored from her friend. "Stop giving me that attitude." Sang Yan spoke, crossing his arms as he was obviously not happy with it.

His reaction made Sang Zhi look up with a raised eyebrow, her eyes watching him with a hint of amusement in them. Sang Zhi moved her eyes towards Hui Ying, a wide smile appearing on her soft lips as she looked.
