June 9th, 1976.

Morgan was in a terrible mood. Not only had she absolutely sucked at buffer duty now she would suck at her examination as well. Go figure.

Maybe nine Outstandings would suffice if not ten. Because she was not getting an O in DADA, and all because her friends had decided to show off. Sirius specifically for now, but she was sure the rest would follow. Now, she wasn't exactly sure what was going on inside the examination room but the blinding silver light that escaped through under the door was enough to let her know a Patronus was being cast in there.

They were called in alphabetical order so Sirius had gone in pretty early and that Patronus was definitely his. So, yes, they were asking students to cast one probably for extra points. Or maybe it was standard. For all she knew the examiner had woken up on the wrong side of bed and decided to take it out on students. She couldn't ask though because after taking the test you went out the other side and were prohibited from telling the others still waiting what they had asked you.

She clashed eyes with Peter across the hall and the boy smirked at her. Fucker. He knew he, James, and Rem would do great. She flipped them off and turned to her friends.

"That's a patronus," Morgan explained with a sigh. "Hopefully for extra points,"

"Oh, well... mine is half decent," Ophelia shrugged.

"I managed it once," Theo admitted. "I'll start praying,"

"You're not religious though?" Rabastan trailed.

"I am now," Theo shrugged and Morgan had to give it to him. If it worked, it worked.

"What about you?" Lys bumped her shoulder.

"I mean it would do its job..." She winced. "Not corporeal though,"

"Yes, mine as well," Mulciber agreed and Rosier nodded.

Avery had been one of the first to take the test, but either he hadn't been asked to perform one or he'd miserably failed. She really hoped for the first one if only for selfish reasons.

A girl was called up next, and a few more after her, already starting calling up last names with a C. Morgan sighed tiredly as she leaned her head on Lia's shoulder. "So... summer plans?"

"Oh, how fortunate that you asked, I have a whole itinerary," Ophelia grinned and took out a piece of parchment from her robes that made Morgan wonder just how long she'd been carrying that around. "Here, look. I need four full weeks of your time but we can split it through the summer if you want. Lys is in by the way,"

"Obviously," the redhead said casually. "Mattie is thrilled to go to that muggle summer camp with his friends..." She shook her head, looking genuinely confused. "A whole summer of sleeping in a dirty cabin and no magic whatsoever.... beats me, but it leaves me free so I'll take it,"

"You're letting him spend the entire summer surrounded by muggles and his mudblood friends?" Mulciber wrinkled his nose in disgust.

"Your parents must be rolling in their graves," Rosier chuckled dryly.

"I flushed their ashes down the toilet so I don't think they can do much rolling," Lysandra responded with a sickening sweet smile that made Morgan laugh and everyone else cringe. "And they're really nice kids, so yes. Of course he can go,"

Morgan started reading Ophelia's list and her lips tilted up. A week in Paris for witches' fashion week... oh, and muggle fashion week as well, look at that. At least four spa days to go through, a week at the beach, two days of just shopping... Morgan added in her mind two more to that just in case. Sightseeing in several cities, six balls in total, seven outings to clubs... well, she'd definitely thought this through.
