"Oh. Right." She chuckled. "Sorry".
"It's fine. What now?" I asked, not sure what to do now. I never went to parties, they were just not my thing. I preferred hanging out with sarina and the some of her friends. During day time. Or hang out in the beach alone.
"Now we get ready." Sarina said in a 'its obvious.' tone of hers, rolling her eyes. "Omg, Augustine. You have never gone to a party before you met me?" She asked exasperated.
"I went to Lizzie Morgan's party once." I said, trying to defend myself.
"That was like a million years ago! Plus it was a birthday party. It doesn't counts." She smiled and shrugged.
"Well not all of us like to party." I glared at her.
"Yeah. I love to party. And tonight I'll make you look amazing, and hot." She said looking at me up and down.
"You should wear that black top I bought for you last summer!" She said happily, eyes wide, like she discovered the cure to the most deadly disease.
"Isn't it too-"
"No. Go change!" She interrupted me by saying.
Next thing I know is that I'm being pushed into my own bathroom, in my own house. Great.
I sat on the closed toilet until the door opened and Sarina threw the black top she mentioned before and a pair of faded jeans. I stood up from the toilet with a sigh, bending so I could grab the clothes. I placed them on the sink.
I looked at the reflection meeting me in the mirror. Blonde waves and gray eyes greet me. I brushed my finger down my eye bags. Concealer would do, but first I needed to get into the clothes.
When I finished zipping my jeans up I opened the door under the sink and grabbed my makeup bag. It was mostly unused since I left my makeup in my house, and during summer I barely used makeup. I found it pointless, I would get into the beach or a pool and my makeup would mess up. That and the fact a barely went out of my house unless it was to hang out with Sarina.
I opened the bag and grabbed the things I needed. Concealer, blush, mascara, lipgloss, lip liner, eyeliner-
"Tini! Are you done yet? I'm dying here!" Sarina said, muffled behind the door.
"God, you are so dramatic." I rolled my eyes and unlocked the door. "It's open, come in."
She didn't have to be told twice before she opened the door and her reflection looked into my eyes through the mirror. "Hah! I knew this top was going to suit you. You look beautiful!" She then looked down at the makeup. "Omg! You are doing your makeup? Let me help!" She said excitedly.
"I don't think that's a good idea. I don't trust you with the lash curler." I said, while taking one step back.
"Please," she scoffed "don't be dramatic. Now give me that." She took the concealer out of my hand, making me chuckled.
"Fine, I guess you can help, but I'll do my lashes." I said, giving her a 'you won't be touching my eyes' look.
"Deal." A pause. "Not like you had an option anyway." She said quietly, earning a smack on her arm.
As she blended my blush a while later, sitting in front of me. "You'll have fun, Augustine. I promise" she said softer. "Imagine we are hanging at the beach, us, and a couple of more friends." She tried to give me a reassuring smile.
"A couple?" I chuckled, even if I didn't find any humor in it, "they are a lot of people, Sar."
"Well, who cares about them. We'll have fun. Us. Not them. Well they'll probably do too, but we are the main importance." She said winking. "Plus when I'm finished with you, you'll be the prettiest."
