|^|Untold Truths-Part 2|^| -Murder Drones

Start from the beginning

As quiet as a mouse, N dropped to the floor with a gentle thud.

At first, N was planning on just walking out the door, then realized that the sliding mechanic of it could be loud enough to wake Uzi.

So he went for the better option, the ventilation shaft.

Before he left he turned back to his girlfriend, who was still asleep. N reached over and gently pushed her bangs back and a small smile tugged on her face.

Even with everything happening, N couldn't help but smile as well, his first genuine smile in a while.

After a moment of admiring his girlfriend, N used his tail to open the vent hanging over Uzi's desk and jumped into it, not making a single sound as he crawled through.

It took a bit, but he finally found the direction to the three bunker doors and jumped down.

When he landed on the cold floor bellow, a startled gasp came from behind him.

N quickly wiped around and saw an unfamiliar worker drone. He only wore a classic worker drone, hard, hat on his head, and a dark blue vest with black boots. He had a small badge on his vest, and N realized he must've worked for the WDF.

N straightened out his hat and brushed dust off his pilot outfit before locking golden optics with wide-eyed, light, blue ones. "Ummm...hi! Sorry about that, didn't mean to scare you."

The worker drone cleared his throat before speaking, "T-thats alright, I wasn't expecting anyone to jump out of the vent at a time like this...let alone at all."

N rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Yeah, sorry...I'm Serial Designation-"

"N," the drone finished for him, "Yeah, I know who you are, practically everyone knows who you are."

"Oh." N mumbled a bit surprised. That made sense though. Who wouldn't have heard about the murder drone that turned good? "What's your name?"

"Kevin, what are you doing out so early? Does Uzi know you're out here?"

N felt like a kid caught with his hands inside of a cookie jar before dinner, he fumbled with his finger nervously, and stuttered with his words. "I...I just wanted to go outside for a bit."

"Can't you wait just a bit longer? The sun is about to go down in just a few minutes." Kevin asked, knowing about how disassembly drones burn in the sun light.

"I'll stay out of the sun till' then, I promise!" N did his signature salute, that faltered a bit as he said next, "I just really need some time to think."

Kevin's optics softened. "Had one of those nights, huh? Yeah, I feel ya." Then he sighed. "Alright, I'll open the doors, just make sure to stay out of the sun, Uzi would kill me if you got badly burned because I was the one who let you out."

N brightened, "Don't worry, I'll stay in the shadows until the sun goes down!"

Kevin walked over and used his keycard to open the bunker doors. N thanked him, and stepped outside. He crept along the shadows, thanks to all the derby, it made it easier to stay out of the sun's range. He ducked behind cars and broken building parts, he got burned a few times, but nothing his salvia neutralization couldn't fix

It didn't take long for the sun to set and allow N to roam around in the open. He soon sprouted his wings and jumped into the air. Passing ruined buildings he used to hunt for any remaining worker drones were hiding in. But now he was just free to explore them for fun, if he wanted too.

At one point, when he was still on his murder spree, he found a library, smaller then the one at the Elliott Manner. But he could tell when it was running it was more cozy and friendly.
