Arctucus is a fantasy world (originally a star's name). You can imagine it as medieval Europe. I may use some Slavic or Celtic symbols and culture.
The first part of this story is being told by a druid, so as you may expect it will be somewhere near the north. We are talking about Sweden or Denmark. The people are not originally from there, they are from Ireland. There will be a lot of dark forest in this story. There is a cold river too. The druid village is placed in the middle of mountains and forest. Far away from other dirty human life. They live a simple life in a small community. They understand nature perfectly as well as to it's gifts.
Kanin is a small child. He is curious and runs through the forest often. He never gets lost in it. He wants to become a druid. His familiar is not an animal, that seems to bother his dad.
The second part of the story is situated in Ukraine and Belerus. We can imagine a small village near the forest. This forest however is not as dark. We can find a small pond here. The temperature of the water is changing as the seasons come.
Izolda
The Z sound lends a strong and cool vibe to this Russian girls’ name. It’s also a form of the name Iseult, with possible Celtic origins. In Arthurian legend, this was the name of an Irish princess. I chose this name to reflect the past of Kanin.
Amaliya. Meaning “brave,” Amaliya is the Russian form of Amalia, which is an Italian girls’ name. This name was chosen to outline the future of Mazzi.
Izolda Amaliyavna Kuznetsova is a young witch. She is almost all mighty. She's a miracle child of a blacksmith and a herbalist.
The final part is based in the historic town of Florence. The hot air is just perfect to go explore the town. We can find some guards and noble families here as well as artificers, alchemists and traders. This city is full of life.
Mazzi means Toolmaker; Weaponmaker. Jennavecia stands for Unique; Strong-willed individual.
Scorso means the last one in Italian.
Mazzi Jannevecia Scorso are an artificer from Florence. They are wise, but stubborn. Nevertheless they are hated by the church. They can fix almost everything.
