Jay and Jungwon had an argument, so Jay decided to go to the bar by himself and drink to calm down a little.
He got drunk and asked the bartender for another drink, but little did he know that Jungwon's friend was also at the bar with him.
The bartender called Jungwon and told him Jay was drunk. Without hesitation, Jungwon hopped on his motorcycle and headed straight to pick up his boyfriend.
After a few minutes, Jay noticed Jungwon entering the bar, his eyes scanning the room. When their gazes met, Jay saw the concern mixed with frustration in Jungwon's expression.
"Jay, what are you doing here? And why are you so drunk?"
"Huh-h..?"
Jungwon clenched his jaw, trying to keep his composure. He knew alcohol made people act differently, but that didn't make this any easier.
"I asked you a question. Why are you here, drinking yourself into oblivion?"
Jay sighed, his words slurred. "J-just leave me alone. We need to break up already... it wasn't a good choice."
Jungwon's expression darkened. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"What? You're drunk right now, and you're saying you want to break up? No. We're not doing this now."
"Jungwon, you're the leader. You shouldn't be with me. We're in the same group. It was a bad idea."
Jungwon's frustration grew. "So you're saying us being together is a bad idea just because I'm the leader? You were the one who pursued me first, not the other way around."
Jay stared at his drink, taking another slow sip before muttering, "Our fans ship us a lot... and you know how the manager reacted. What if they find out?"
Jungwon sighed, running a hand through his hair. He knew Jay had a point, but he couldn't just give up on them that easily.
"I know it's complicated. But we can be careful. We don't have to let anyone know. I'm not willing to give you up just because of some fans and our manager. We've been together for too long. You can't just change your mind—especially when you're drunk."
Jay, barely able to stand, grabbed his glasses and jacket, looking Jungwon in the eyes. "I wanna go home."
Jungwon nodded and took Jay's arm, helping him up. He wrapped an arm around his waist, steadying him.
"Let's go home. You need to sleep this off."
Outside, Jungwon helped Jay onto the back of his motorcycle, securing his helmet before starting the engine.
"Hold on tight, okay?"
Jay nodded weakly, and they drove off.

When they arrived at their shared apartment, Jungwon turned off the engine and helped Jay inside. He guided him to the couch and disappeared into the kitchen, returning with a glass of water.
"Drink this. It'll help you sober up a little."
Jay took a few sips before mumbling, "Thanks, Jungwon... By the way, Heeseung called me earlier."
Jungwon's brows furrowed. He quickly pulled out his phone, eyes widening at the nine missed calls.
"Why did Heeseung call you? And why so many times?"
"I dunno... You should call him."
Jungwon immediately dialed Heeseung's number. The call connected after a few rings.
"Heeseung, what's going on? I saw that I missed nine calls from you."
"Finally! Haven't you seen what's happening on Dispatch???"
Jungwon's stomach dropped. "No... What's happening?"
"There's a rumor about you and Jay, and this one is serious."
Jungwon gripped his phone tighter. "Wait, what? A rumor about us? Are you sure it's not just fans shipping us again?"
"No, Jungwon. This time, it's serious. You and Jay got too far this time."
Jungwon's heart pounded. "What do you mean? What happened?"
Heeseung sighed. "The rumor is that someone saw you and Jay together in a secluded place... and it looked intimate. The worst part? There are pictures."
Jungwon felt like the ground had been ripped from under him. "Pictures? Are you serious? How did this even happen?"
"Someone took photos without your knowledge, and they got leaked to Dispatch. Now, they're everywhere."
Jungwon glanced at Jay, who was still drunk and unaware of the chaos unfolding around them.
"What are we supposed to do? This is a disaster."
"Stay calm," Heeseung said firmly. "We'll have to release a statement denying the rumors. But we need to handle this carefully."
Jungwon ran a hand over his face. "What about Jay? He's still out of it."
"Let him sleep it off. You and I will handle the statement for now. He doesn't need to know yet."
Jungwon hesitated before nodding. "Alright. I'll call you back soon."
After ending the call, Jungwon turned back to Jay, gently shaking his shoulder.
"Jay, wake up. Let's get you to bed."
Jay groaned, eyes barely open. "Jungwonie... I'm tired..."
Jungwon softened. "I know. Can you stand?"
"Mhmm..."
Jungwon wrapped an arm around Jay's waist, guiding him to the bedroom. Once Jay was settled, Jungwon pulled the covers over him.
"Get some rest, okay? You'll feel better in the morning."
"Thank you..." Jay mumbled, drifting off.
Jungwon sighed, watching him for a moment before stepping out. He collapsed onto the couch and pulled out his phone. His heart sank as he scrolled through the comments. Some fans were supportive, but others were ruthless.
He shut his eyes, rubbing his temples. We were so careful... How did this happen?
Despite the exhaustion, his mind raced with worry. How were they going to fix this?
Sleep eventually took over, but his dreams were filled with unease.
