"No way!" Kenji bursts out, "All right, let's go through the Brachios. When you're as big as these guys, you don't spook so easily."

"Check it out." He stands up and starts making dinosaur calls, imitating the giants above them.

Y/N can't help but sigh and look away as Kenji continues with his embarrassing display. One of the Brachios looks down at him but barely pays him any mind as it chomps on its leaves.

"See?" Kenji returns to his seat with a smirk.

"Uhm," Darius breaks the awkward tension, "Aside from Kenji's spot-on impression, I agree. We can't risk whatever those people have planned for the eggs and Geba."

"It'll be okay." Sammy turns to Zayna, "These Brachios look big, but they're just like my old cow, Bessie. They're harmless."

"Unless you try to skimp on her food. She does not like that."

"Okay..." Zayna takes a moment to consider, "Let's just... be careful."

With that, Kenji and Zayna that the motors up again, cruising beneath the dinosaurs' legs as they lap up the water below.

"See?" Y/N smiles at Zayna, "They're perfectly ca--"

One of the Brachiosauruses suddenly let's out a fearful yelp as it stomps around in the water, triggering the other two to panic as well. The boats slosh around as Zayna and Kenji try to steer them out of the way of the dinosaurs' distressed feet.

They bob around, soaring back and forth as they bump between the legs of the dinos.

"Sammy!" Yaz calls, "The flair gun!"

The other girl's face lights up as she reaches under the seat for the gun. She points it in the air but just as she's about to shoot one of the Brachios kicks the boat, knocking it from her grip.

"Hold on!" Kenji shouts, maneuvering their boat out of the way.

One of the large dinos stomps towards the other boat as the engine sputters. Zayna tries her best to get it back on, but nothing seems to be working.

Y/N jumps up, scrambling towards Kenji and the motor. He slides down onto the seat and whirls the boat around, heading full speed for the other wooden ship. He slams into the side and pushes them out of the way of the Brachio just as its foot comes down with a large splash.

Zayna tries the motor again, but Ben takes her arm, "Come on, let's go! There's no time!" He ushers all the others onto their boat.

The others leap onto the boat as the dinosaurs approach and Kenji zooms off through the water as soon as everyone is seated. They get a good distance away and Kenji pulls them to a stop as they observe the other boat.

"Okay, we're safe." Darius let's out a relieved breath as they watch the Brachiosauruses. circle the abandoned ship, "Let's just wait until--"

"Oo!" Kenji jumps up, "I'll get the flare gun!"

"No, Kenji! Wa--"

But Kenji's already leapt into the water. He swims at high speeds, rushing towards the dino-surrounded boat. He makes it there in record time and lifts himself over the side in search of the flare.

He grabs it and gets up on his knees, shooting it up towards the trees.

The dinosaurs pause for a moment before beginning to slowly trudge in the direction of the flare, fascinated by it. Y/N sighs and gets back behind the motor, pulling the boat up beside Kenji as he catches his breath.

"I knew we should've gone the other way!" Zayna scolds herself as she takes over for Y/N behind the motor.

"Oh, come on!" Kenji chuckles, "We made it out of there alive! And I don't know about you, but it was kinda fun."

Y/N and Yaz move into the boat with Kenji, Yaz shaking her head in disappointment as they shift.

Kenji pats on the stuttering motor and it roars to life, "Woo! Let's go!"

As the boats pull onto shore Darius and Yaz are the first to get out and take a seat in the grass. Y/N climbs out after them, stretching his legs after sitting for so long.

Sammy and Zayna linger back in the boat while Kenji pesters Ben about the phone before he catches the tail end of the girls talk.

"Did somebody say Kenji's right!?" Kenji boasts, "Doesn't matter!" He chuckles at Sammy's annoyed glance.

"What matters is Kenji wins and the Brachios lose! Booyah!" He cheers, "We're the Nublar Seven, there's no dino danger we can't handle."

"Don't you mean Nublar six?" Darius pipes up.

"Six... Seven... whatever!" Kenji shrugs, wandering off.

"Have you noticed anything off with Kenji lately?" Yaz turns to Darius and Y/N, "Like he's been sort of... impulsive."

Darius sighs, his gaze fixing in the grass.

"So much has happened," Yaz goes on, "Especially to him. Brooklyn, his dad... but he is going all danger-mode instead of dealing with it."

"If he keeps it up, he's gonna get hurt."

"Oh my gosh!" Ben shoots up, phone in hand, "Uh, I gotta--" He rushes off into the jungle, the phone ringing.

"Ben!?" Y/N calls after his boyfriend.
