Evangeline sat at her desk behind Simon in english working on her test.

"Three minutes." Mr Anderson announced after he checked his phone. "Simon, eyes on your paper please."

"Sorry." Evangeline glanced up at Simon watching him when the bell rang and he jumped up out of his seat and ran out of the classroom.

"What the.." She whispered to herself as she grabbed her bag then dropped her paper on the teachers desk.

Evangeline started off down the halls before spotting Simon at his locker at the same time Nicole did. They both walked up to him at the same time.

"Am I allowed to barf on camera?" Nicole questioned as she stood next to Simon. "My media class has to do interviews on all the homecoming court nominees, and guess who got Claire?"

"Okay yeah. Barfing might be appropriate." Simon chuckled as he closed his locker and the three started walking down the hallway.

"Oh hey, so i got an update on Maddie's boot print." Nicole said to them. "Xavier said the cops canvassed the area where we were last night and found more prints leading to a service road."

Simon stared ahead of him and Evangeline stared at him as they walked.

"Hello? You know what this means, right?" Nicole waved her hand in his face. "Maddie's alive. Yeah. And whatever happened in the boiler room, she got out and she's okay."

"What's going on with you and Xavier?" Simon asked her.

"Yeah I'd like to know too.." Evangeline added.

"Yesterday you were ready to put his head on a stick." Simon stopped walking and faced Nicole. "Now you guys are what, texting buddies?"

"I.. I don't know, Simon. Maybe it's about you ghosting me ever since Maddie went missing." Nicole stared at him with a hurt look. "I mean seriously, you've talked to Evangeline more than you've talked to me. Where even were you last night? I texted you like ten times."

Evangeline felt like it wasn't her conversation anymore and broke off from then and made her way to her next class. She laid her head on her desk as she listened to music.

Evangeline stood next to Simon near the lockers as they watched the cops question Mr Anderson in his classroom. The cops excited the room then walked over to them.

"Simon Elroy? Got a few questions to ask you." The female cop said. "Come with us please."

"What? Why?" Simon stood and suddenly she grabbed his arm and pulled him with them.

"Wait what. Simon?" Evangeline followed after them. "What did he do? Why are you taking him?"

"Please, get back to class." The male cop said causing her to stop.

"I'm calling my dad, Simon!" She called out after him. "I'll find out what's happening!"

Evangeline stood watching as they walked out of the school. She made her way out of the school and climbed in her car while calling her dad.

"Ugh!" She exclaimed as her dad declined her call. The girl checked his life 360 location to see he was at home and quickly left the school and drove home.

"Dad?!" She exclaimed as she rushed into her house.

"Evangeline? What's going on?" Her dad walked out from his bedroom.

"Why did officers just pull Simon Elroy out of the school for question?" She asked as her dad walked up to her.

"Evangeline calm down." He responded putting his hand on her shoulder. "Come sit."
