(Y/N) POV

"W-What," I start, shakily, "are you doing?" The ropes break, and the Night Fury jumps up, pouncing on Hiccup.

"Well, I was helping you, so I would appreciate if you could help me by getting this dragon of me-" He's cut off by the Night Fury's roaring. The large dragon, shoots a plasma blast next to Hiccup, but then runs away, into an un-inhabited cave. Hiccup scrambles up, brushing the dirt off of himself.

"Well, that was interesting," he says. I nod a bit, and coil the broken ropes, shoving them into my rucksack. A few moments of silence pass before I break the silence.

"Why did you help me cut the ropes..?" Hiccup looks a bit taken back at the question, but his flat expression returns.

"Because.. I'm not like them," he replies. Not like them? What does he mean?

Nova jumps onto me, and starts to lick my face and body.

"Nova! Quit it," I yell, but I'm laughing, so it must be hard to take me seriously. Hiccup laughs as well, but Nova tackles him and does the same she did to me. My turn to laugh.

"Ahahaha, she likes you!"  Nova jumps off of Hiccup, as he struggles to get up. I offer my hand, and he takes it. I pull him up with so much force that he stumbles forward into me. This time, we both fall, into fits of laughter.

"Maybe you're not so bad, Hiccup," I say, after I stop giggling. He smiles at me, and I smile back.

"Hey, I never got your name!" My name... Should I tell him my real name? Or... How about..

"My name is... Korona," I reply slowly, hesitating. I don't really want to lie, but I can't risk telling him my real name. Best to use my mother's. Maybe he'll get to learn my real name, but as for now, I'm not taking the risk.

"Alright, Korona, I'll see you around." He gets up, gives me a wave, and heads off. The Night Fury is still in it's cave. I guess I'll leave him be for now.

'So, you and that Hiccup kid seem to be getting along nicely... A bit nicer than you are to most people,' Nova says, in Dragonese. Dragonese is an ancient, forbidden language, only know by dragons. And me.

'Oh, shut up, Nova,' I reply, blushing slightly. No way. 'That's because all the other people around here are Vikings. Hiccup is... Different.'

'Whatever you say, (Y/N). Nice name, though,' she jokes. I roll my eyes, and sit up. I stand, and Nova does as well.

'It's 5:00, how about dinner?' Nova nods her head, and I grab my spear, and walk to the pond.

Hiccup POV

"You're going to the Dragon Academy," Dad says.

"Oh, now I really wish I had gone first... Yeah, so, here's the thing... I can't kill a dragon, Dad," I reply.

"Nonsense! All you need is some training. You start tomorrow." I sigh, and realize there's no protesting or arguing with my father. "We're going on an expedition for the dragon's nest. We'll be back. Probably." He walks out, waving his hand.

"And I'll be here... Maybe." This should be interesting.

"Alright," Gobber says. Then again, his talking is the equivalent of my shouting, so.. I dunno. "Today, we'll be learning about shot limits! How many does a Gronckle have?"

"Uh, 5," Snotlout answers, unsure.

"No, 6," Fishlegs corrects.

"Correct, Fishlegs! A Gronckle has a 6 fire shot limit! Perfect, that's one for each of you!" Oh Thor, oh, Thor....
