Jayce's heart was racing as he stood across from Viktor, both of them inches apart, the air between them charged. Viktor's gaze was intense, almost predatory, and it made Jayce’s skin feel like it was on fire. The way Viktor watched him—calm, calculating, yet with something simmering beneath the surface—was making Jayce's head spin.

"Say it," Viktor murmured, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous tone. "Say what you really want."

Jayce swallowed hard. "What... what are you talking about?"

Viktor stepped closer, his body almost touching Jayce’s, but not quite. There was just enough space between them to make Jayce’s mind spiral, the anticipation unbearable. "You know exactly what I mean."

A cold shiver ran down Jayce's spine. Viktor’s voice was smooth like silk, each word calculated to provoke him, but it was more than that. It was like Viktor knew the truth before Jayce did—what Jayce had been trying to fight off for days now.

The truth was, Jayce didn’t just hate Viktor. There was something else, something he couldn’t deny anymore. Something darker.

And now Viktor was pushing him to the edge, his smirk never fading as he watched Jayce struggle to keep his composure.

"Stop teasing me," Jayce rasped, his breath shaky. His fingers curled into fists at his sides, but the tension was suffocating. "Just—"

Viktor raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching. "Just what, Jayce? You want me to stop? To back off?" His voice was thick with amusement, but there was an underlying heat that made Jayce’s chest tighten.

Jayce didn’t have a response. Because he didn’t want Viktor to back off.

He took a step forward, closing the gap, and Viktor didn’t retreat. Instead, Viktor’s hand came up, fingers brushing the edge of Jayce’s jaw in a movement so soft it made Jayce’s pulse spike. The contact was light, just a whisper of a touch, but it was enough to send a bolt of heat through him.

"You're not afraid of me, are you, Jayce?" Viktor’s voice was dangerously close to his ear now, breath warm against his skin. "Not anymore."

The question sent a wave of uncertainty through Jayce. His body was betraying him, but he couldn’t stop it. The need was too strong, too real. He leaned in without thinking, their faces just inches apart, his voice hoarse. "I'm not afraid of you."

Viktor’s lips curled in that infuriating smirk. "Then prove it."

Jayce’s breath hitched. In a sudden, reckless surge of confidence—or maybe it was just the way Viktor was looking at him—he closed the last bit of distance. Their lips collided, harsh and hungry.

The kiss was nothing like Jayce expected. It was desperate, urgent, both of them pushing for control, and neither willing to let go. Viktor’s hand found the back of his neck, pulling him closer, his body warm and firm against Jayce’s.

Jayce responded instantly, his hands tangling in Viktor’s shirt, gripping him as if he could somehow stop the storm building between them. He couldn’t. Viktor was everywhere—his taste, the pressure of his body, the way his lips moved against Jayce’s, like he was claiming territory.

Jayce’s mind was a blur of heat and desire, his breath coming in short bursts, the sensation of Viktor’s mouth against his igniting something deep inside him. He didn’t know if it was the years of rivalry, or something else entirely, but it didn’t matter. He needed this.

Viktor pulled back just enough to look at him, eyes dark, lips bruised, and his voice dropped to a whisper. "I knew you'd cave," he murmured, his fingers still tracing the edge of Jayce’s jaw.

Jayce was breathing hard, his chest rising and falling rapidly. "Shut up," he muttered, but his lips were still swollen, and his fingers were still gripping Viktor’s shirt like it was the only thing keeping him anchored.

Viktor chuckled softly, his voice full of smug satisfaction. "No, I think you like this, Jayce. You want me just as much as I want you."

Jayce’s stomach clenched. The teasing was maddening, but Viktor was right. He could feel it now—deep, undeniable. He wanted Viktor in a way that was terrifying, raw. He leaned in again, lips finding Viktor’s in another kiss, this one slower, deeper, more deliberate.

Viktor responded in kind, his hands roving over Jayce’s back, pulling him closer, and for the first time in ages, Jayce felt like he couldn’t get close enough.

Their lips parted briefly, but Viktor’s gaze never left him. "You’re mine now, Jayce."

Jayce swallowed hard, heart pounding, and he couldn’t tell if he was afraid or excited. Maybe both.

But Viktor was right.

The line had been crossed. And there was no going back.
