i quite like writing about death. from that perspective, i don't know what happens when you die. i've never been dead- elena tonra

zayn pov:

"daddy! daddy! tell me the story again!"

james yelled, and i smiled,

"that's only for bedtime bud, you need to go out with mommy soon yeah?"

james huffed, "i'm hungry! no want mommy!" he whined,

and i chuckled, "you ate an hour ago bud," and he huffed,

"that's like a whole year daddy! feed me!"

james squealed when i tickled him,

"alright, alright."

he cheered and started to sing a song from snow white.

"daddy?" he asked, and i hummed,

"where'd my name come from?"

i sighed, and sat him next to the sink, where i washed out strawberries for him.

"there was a boy, he had bright eyes, and soft brown hair like you. he meant so much to daddy, his middle name was james. and when i saw you, i knew it was perfect for you."

james giggled, "where is he now?" james asked, taking bites out of a strawberry.

"he's protecting you and me, up there." i mumbled, and james ran off, hearing his favorite show start.

i walked towards the lounge room and watched the boy giggle and smile, his blue eyes bright.

"same soul, different body yeah nialler?" i whispered,

seeing the same bright potential he had in my boy.
