The Transformer of Star Command

CH3: Star Command

A few moments later, Braedey walked out of a nearby bathroom with his casual attire on - a black shirt, blue sports jacket, jeans, and sneakers. Compared to either Buzz or even some of the other Rangers, to everyone else, Braedey does look rather slim and small for someone his age.

"So, this is what you usually wear?" Buzz inquired.

"Yeah. You could consider it being my hero attire, my signature outfit. Kind of like how you've got your Space Ranger uniform." Braedey answered casually as he does a small spin. "This is what I usually wear. Plus, my cousin gave me this sports jacket on my 15th birthday." He looked at the embroidered Transformatrix logo on the left side of his jacket. "It's rather special."

"Huh. So it holds sentimental value and significance to you." Mira deduced.

"That's right. It means a lot to me." Braedey nodded back to the Tangean. He then saw Buzz hand him a tablet. "What's this?" He asked.

"Best for you to get up to speed to know each of us since you'll be staying here for the foreseeable future." Buzz explained casually. "Besides, it will give you the chance to know about our backstories and how we all came to be."

"Fair enough." Braedey acknowledged back to Buzz. "They do say that knowledge is power." He goes to look on in curiosity.

Over the next little while, Buzz and his team had given Braedey a tour all around the huge space station of Star Command to show what there is. It was really an experience for Braedey to take a look and see at what there was around all of Star Command.

There are several launch bays, cafeterias, and training decks. The Briefing Room is where Space Rangers get information on important missions from Commander Nebula. The Combat Control Center Escape Pod is the one room that can control and override all of Star Command's functions, as well as act like an escape pod from danger. For self-defence and combat, a user can release small blue Star Command logo-shaped laser drones. The Launch Bay is where all the ships used by Star Command are docked, serviced, and launched from here. The Maintenance Bay is where Starcruisers are temporarily placed for maintenance to ensure they do not interfere with landings or take-offs in the Launch Bay. The Locker Room is where Rangers come in to change in and out of their uniforms, and place their personal possessions inside their lockers. There is also Lounge Rooms - Rangers can hang out and relax in these seating areas. There are couches, chairs and a few tables located in these areas. Vid-screens are available to them in case they want to watch something on the tube. If they want to gaze at the beauty of the stars, a large window or two is there for them to view through. Mission Control is the main deck of Star Command. Here, LGMs and Space Rangers alike regulate traffic and give clearance to vessels launching out of the space station and vessels to and from the Galactic Alliance's territory. The Science Bay is where LGMs spend their time developing new weapons and technology, as well as where they repair XR the numerous times he's blown up or malfunctioned. Finally, the Training Deck is where the Space Rangers go to train and hone their fighting skills against a variety of obstacles, ranging from robots to lasers.

"So, Capital Planet is really Earth? Huh. Did not expect that. So why the name change?" Braedey now asked in curiosity.

"Well, so many different aliens races started to live here and Galactic Allience put their headquarters here, they decided to rename the planet to something more unified." Booster said to Braedey.

"I see." Braedey mused, then he and Buzz's team arrive over at one door that opens to reveal a stateroom with a view of Capital Planet below. "Oh..."

"This will be your stateroom for the time." Buzz explained. "Hope this will be enough."

"Hmm... not bad here." Braedey mused as he looked all around. "This is quite nice. Thanks for this, guys." He thanked to them.

"It's the least we can do for you, especially given your circumstances and situation." Buzz reassured to him. "Take some time to relax."

"Again, thank you." Braedey nodded back as the door closes between both him and Team Lightyear. Braedey looks about and breathed a soft sigh, then he puts the bag down on the bed. "Time to get settled in..."

"Booster, can I talk to you for a minute?" XR asked to his companion as they leave Braedey's room. Booster nodded in response and XR leads him away from the room. "Do you really believe Braedey's whole 'different universe' story?"

"What do you mean?" Booster questioned.

"I mean that he might... y'know, have a screw loose! He might just be part of some big scam or publicity stunt we don't know about." XR pointed out.

Booster gasped in shock of what his friend was saying. "You're accusing an innocent civilian of being insane and corrupt?! You disappoint me, XR."

"What?! I mean, there's just no way to believe in something like that." XR stated back.

"Okay, you two. Ease up." Buzz cuts in, stopping the two from fighting. "Now, I know that believing in such a story from Braedey regarding his dimensional venture and his Transformatrix, but all that is to be seen and be believed. We just have to wait and see what happens." XR sheepishly grinned while Booster crossed his arms and looked at the little robot with a raised eyebrow.

While XR, Booster, and Buzz continue on their way, Mira looks on at the door of Braedey's door. She was feeling an internal conflict about the newcomer, especially since she couldn't even access his memories or see into his head despite her Tangean 'ghosting' powers. She considered the idea the Transformatrix may be the reason why, but she was still uncertain about Braedey and the possible truth of his words, especially given how XR brought it up. She cupped her chin as she was lost in her thoughts, then she snapped her fingers as she considered something.

It would be a long shot... and she'd have to talk to her father about it...
