CH3: Star Command

"Speakin' of helping out..." Booster mentioned first.

"Yeah." Mira continued. "Commander, when we were out on our job, Braedey said he doesn't have any place to go."

"He said he doesn't know where is home is." Booster finished the explanation.

Commander Nebula looked at Braedey. "Is that right?" He asked.

"Well... yeah. Kinda..." Braedey replied sheepishly at this.

XR crossed his arms, and retorted back. "Kinda' nothin', man! You didn't even know what Capital Planet or Star Command was before today!" He stated.

"Yeah, wherever you're from must be super far!" Booster chimed in.

Braedey glanced back at Booster and XR, then back to the floor in thought. They weren't exactly wrong about what they've said, per se...

"So, the reason we brought Braedey with us is because, well... We thought maybe he could-" Mira didn't even get the chance to finish her statement before the Commander held his hand up to her, signalling her to stop.

"Say no more." Commander Nebula now turned to look at Braedey. "So, you need a place to stay, correct?" He asked.

Braedey was hesitant to answer back. He knew Buzz and his crew had offered him a place to stay, but he was still weighing his options in his mind. He didn't know if he wanted to get too comfortable, and he still wasn't sure if he was really okay with these people going out of their way to put him up. However, just like back out in space, these folks were friendly and more welcoming than he thought. And if Professor TimeLine hadn't found Braedey by now, then the chances are it could end up being a while before he did. Braedey would definitely need a place to eat, sleep, and so on until that happened. Once again, his choice was made clear.

Braedey looked to the Commander and nodded. "Yes. I do..."

Commander Nebula now smiled. "It's settled, then. We'll have one of the spare rooms set up for you." Now that that was out of the way, the Commander had one major question left for Braedey. "Now, I have no problem with letting you stay here until you can find your way home. After all, it's the least we can do for you. However, I would like to know wherever it is you're from." He proclaimed to Braedey. "I have no doubt that you are a kindhearted young man, but in order to ward off the suspicion of others... I don't want them to think that we are harbouring some kind of spy from another planet or anything of the sort."

Braedey's eyes widened slightly at that statement. He should've expected someone would want to know where he was from eventually. He didn't know the names of any planets in this intergalactic universe at all, and even if he did, he wouldn't feel right lying to them all outright; not after they had shown much kindness to a random stranger like himself. This was it. He had no other choice but to tell them the truth about where he was actually from, regardless of whether or not they'd believe him at all. However, after learning a bit more about this world, perhaps the likelihood of them actually believing him wasn't as low as he had previously assumed.

"Well... Of course." Braedey conceited. "I'll tell you all everything... but, you all might want to find a seat or something. It'll be kind of a long story." Per his instructions, the Commander and Team Lightyear, as well as the LGMs pull up seats from various benches and stools in the Science Bay, while others simply stood. All of them gathered around one person in particular: Braedey.

Braedey now stood in front of the bar counter and he began his story. He started off by introducing everyone to the concept and idea of alternate universes and realities. Thankfully, Ratchet's explanation of the concept proved to be sufficient enough for most of them to grasp it, and to realise the idea isn't one as far-fetched as one might think. Then came the big news. When Braedey now told them that he was actually from one of these alternate universes, almost every jaw in the building gravitated down to the floor. Though, it did make some sense to Buzz and Mira, seeing as he didn't know anything about the Galactic Alliance or about Star Command or anything about their world. Why would he if he was from another world entirely?
